The Rocket Lounge would be my hang out were I going. Sister Suzie, Black Kat Boppers, JS & the Lockerbillies.

On the main stages I shall be hoping that the following are on TV. John Fogarty, Fratellis, Wet Leg, Libertines, Searchers, Gary Numan, Bluebells, Jamie Cullum and Reverend & the Makers
BBC glasto coverage is only 5 stages.  Those NOT playing those stages from above are

Fratellis, searchers,  bluebells, Jamie Callum, reverend and the makers

basically a lot of what you want to see is on the acoustic and Avalon stages, not covered by the BBC

Cheers for the info, saves me wasting my time looking for it.

Pulp (patchwork) as well. They have been on fire in their recent gigs
Is this Pulp? What’s the 'patchwork’ in brackets for?

Amazing number of stages and bands.

I just can't believe that Ash are playing but so early on in the day. Their 1977 album is a classic 90s album. You won’t hear any better rock music than that all weekend, I bet.
Yes, it is pulp. They are billed as patchwork in the listings  as its secret.  Saturday, pyramid stage, 18:15-19:15. Will be on BBC.
  • Ok, cheers.

My guess is that they are doing this because they intend to only play songs off their new album. I like the 1st and 3rd tracks but the rest is so so for me atm.

I can’t believe that they’d be playing so early if they were intending to play songs off His & Hers, Different Class etc.
  • How logistically does it work these days for the ‘big’ headline acts?

I assume they are (unless they choose to) too big to hang around much for the wider event so how do they get in and out of the site?

Do they get helicopter’d in or is it a case of cars on dedicated service roads out to nearer to the motorway?

I get it’s very well orchestrated but curious how they accommodate the acts that might be a bit ‘demanding’ ?
Horses for courses tbh. Lots of headliners stayed across the weekend last year. They were hanging out in the hospitality interstage area and moonbeam hospitality areas. I spoke to Dua a fair while and with shades on and normal clothes everybody around us appeared oblivious to who she actually was and must have thought she was a regular punter.

Some do helicopter in (I’d say few) and then get taken in by car. I was like 12-15 inches away from Tom Cruise and Michael Eavis before Tom jumped into a blacked out car and got driven away through some driving lanes after last years Coldplay set. Was pleasantly surprised Tom acknowledged I was there and said hello before he left which was very nice of him.
I wouldnt know her in any clothes to be fair :

It will be a mix of classic and new. Not really clear why patchwork is the name. Might be a contractual obligation thing like churnups (foo fighters) a couple of years ago or just for a laugh.

You do realise this festival is taking place in 2025, not 1995, don’t you?

Flags at Glastonbury really fuck me off.

Might as well just have one saying ‘you can’t see the stage because of me’
Yeah it was the same at Wembley a month ago.

We scored and I couldn't see the players celebrating

Was the main support for Rev at his last album launch gig (invited by the man himself) at the Water Rats. Would have been great to watch his set! Will they show the other stages elsewhere?

No.  The BBC only have cameras on the following 5 main stages: Pyramid, Other, Woodsies, West Holt, Park.  They also show some stuff from BBC introducting stage, but its barely a stage itself

Avalon, acoustic and many other stages have some excellent acts, but not shown on the BBC.  This is the beauty of being there, literally 10s of stages to choose from (I am not there this year, not for want of trying)

Such a shame. I'm surprised no international channel would not bid for the rights for the other stages based on the scale of the festival. Or for Glastonbury to do a paid streaming ticket.

I would love to attend one day. Hopefully next year...

For 5 days, it is the greatest place on earth and the TV does not do it justice (although I realise I might be one of those unsufferable dickheads mentioned above).
  • I was looking forward to Neil Young, but looks as though BBC not showing his set.

Might have a longer wait than that…I believe next year is a fallow one.
  • I'm off to see Noah Kahan at Hyde park next Friday so I shall definitely be watching him Sunday... don't all groan... i saw him at the O2 last year, I'm a bit of a fan.
  • I was looking forward to Neil Young, but looks as though BBC not showing his set.
I presume they will but it's not listed. BBC 1 seems to be showing just pop music on Saturday night.

Neil young was fantastic when I saw him supporting Dylan at Hyde park a few years ago. His set was just over an hour and was one brilliant song after another. Saw him again a couple of years later and he was the headliner. Went on for double the amount of time, problem with that it gave him too much time to indulge in long winded guitar solos. Think for Glastonbury it will be more of the former hopefully as I think headliner sets are just over an hour.

Missus took a pretty shit photo of us chatting to be fair and she even removed her sun glasses which I had forgotten. My kids and nephew with us when speaking and she was more than happy to speak with them too. Completely down to earth with us.

Also at the o2 last year.  Strongest single album in years, quite unsure how we got nearly 2 hours out of it.

Good fun live and seems a nice guy

Neil Young set at glasto last time was not shown live. He likes to retain control of the quality and what’s included. You might get a handful of tracks aired but I am 99% sure the whole set will not be shown.

He's not letting them show it. Some kind of dispute between them, don't know what

He is in dispute with the BBC, I think, and won't allow them to show it is what I have heard.

Looking forward to Fat Dog on iPlayer at 2pm. A raucous band. Sad the Hugh Cornwell set on the acoustic stage gets no coverage.
  • Lewis Capaldi released a new single "Survive" today. Was rumored to be todays TBA act. Very likely if this is the stage he walked off from last suffering. Would be very happy for him and his journey back.

Has it been confirmed? I know he was rumored as the TBA act for that slot. Great for him if he is back at Glasto for his return.
