So Lancashire were ablevtobtrat this wicket like a T20 and run up over 600 runs, andvthis morning we look like a team of trialists. Embarrassing. The score are chasing should be possible but I have my doubts well make it to tea time. Lucky we have for the moment sunk as low as possible.

Indeed although even if we reach that target, Lancs will have an opportunity to chase down any miniscule lead we produce. Evison has come out in exactly the positive way I would have expected of those batting above him
111-5 (44). 154 behind with 52 overs of the day to go.
I’ve lost count of how many times I have said this but this is probably now the worst pathetic performance I’ve ever seen in my time watching Kent, this team continue to beat their previous shameful efforts.

To be fair to the lads, we can't go any lower than being bottom of Div 2 so the only way is up by definition.
So, because Evison and Stewart have shown some attacking intent, Lancs have gone from eight around the bat to a slip and two short legs and a spread field. The top order just played into their hands and made it too easy to put pressure on us. DBD, Muyeye, Leaning and Finch were out for a combined 16 runs off 91 balls / 15.1 overs.
185-7 (60) at tea
80 behind with 36 overs to go (less 2 should we force Lancs to bat again)
How many players are there OOC at the end of the season? Enough to have a major clear out and reset?
More than half I would say.
That sounds like exactly what you need. Would have some concerns about the likes of Tawanda and Gilchrist going to the test playing counties too but that's just Div 2 really.
The young talent is there to come through with the likes of Jaydn and Dawkins when he's allowed to play but there seems to be a lot of money spent on overseas and senior experienced players that hasn't worked out. Or you'll hit on an overseas like Dudgeon or Xavier Bartlett and then injuries/availablity hampers things.
244-7 (70) and trail by just 21 now with 26 overs left in the day.
A superb counter-attack from Stewart and Evison. We are being somewhat aided by Anderson's inability/unwillingness to bowl himself but it does go to show that there were very few minefields in this pitch.

2027 - and here we welcome Rutland to the Spitfire Ground for this crucial Minor Counties relegation match
Feels like Muyeye has made more and feels like Leaning has made fewer
Muyeye has one ton and three fifties whereas Leaning has a top score of 40. The feeling of there being a bigger disparity is probably also due to Muyeye being top scorer in the whole of the Blast whereas Leaning has a best of 24 in that competition.
