I was looking forward to Neil Young, but looks as though BBC not showing his set.
I presume they will but it's not listed. BBC 1 seems to be showing just pop music on Saturday night.
Neil young was fantastic when I saw him supporting Dylan at Hyde park a few years ago. His set was just over an hour and was one brilliant song after another. Saw him again a couple of years later and he was the headliner. Went on for double the amount of time, problem with that it gave him too much time to indulge in long winded guitar solos. Think for Glastonbury it will be more of the former hopefully as I think headliner sets are just over an hour.
He'll definitely be on iPlayer.
Not sure Neil would welcome the description of 'support' - not sure his ego would allow that! I think they were both officially joint top billing.
But I agree, although Bobby struggled, not least with his mobility, Neil Young that night was sensational (even my wife and two sons agreed!). Two of my heroes back to back - what a night.
Nice to see Lewis Capaldi back on the stage - not the best set in the world (though it was fine) but that wasn't the point really, just good hes managed to do it after the issues two years ago.
Yes brilliant for Lewis that he performed with no obvious Tourette's symptoms. He was great. En Vogue and Franz Ferdinand were meh. Blossoms better than meh. Alanis Morissette just started - she appears to be more interested in getting her steps in and yodling, but it's early days.
Is Alanis actually playing that electric guitar? Holding it most of the time and strumming occasionally, but I couldn't hear any difference when she was strumming. Personally I think she would look far better just standing still singing (I'm sure others disagree).
Pulp (patchwork) as well. They have been on fire in their recent gigs
Is this Pulp? What’s the 'patchwork’ in brackets for?
Amazing number of stages and bands.
I just can't believe that Ash are playing but so early on in the day. Their 1977 album is a classic 90s album. You won’t hear any better rock music than that all weekend, I bet.
My guess is that they are doing this because they intend to only play songs off their new album. I like the 1st and 3rd tracks but the rest is so so for me atm.
I can’t believe that they’d be playing so early if they were intending to play songs off His & Hers, Different Class etc.
You do realise this festival is taking place in 2025, not 1995, don’t you?

Her endless yodelling was getting on my nerves. I know she does sing like that as I do like that jagged little pill album but it was grating. Also found her running around a bit annoying.
So wanted Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon to come out and sing with her on you ought know.
Bob Vylan and Brian Jonestown Massacre are literally the only thing that interests me the whole weekend. What an absolute pile of shit this festival has become. Early 1990s there were so many clashes that it actually got stressful!

think I’d lose my shit if I was behind… but then again no chance you’d get me stuck in the middle of a crowd like that!!!
quite happy watching on the sofa with a beer🤣
