  • Is Alanis actually playing that electric guitar?
Holding it most of the time and strumming occasionally, but I couldn't hear any difference when she was strumming.
Personally I think she would look far better just standing still singing (I'm sure others disagree).
Her endless yodelling was getting on my nerves. I know she does sing like that as I do like that jagged little pill album but it was grating. Also found her running around a bit annoying.

So wanted Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon to come out and sing with her on you ought know.
I’m glad I’m not alone in my thoughts.
  • Why do people feel the need to be on someone’s shoulders right in front of others?.

think I’d lose my shit if I was behind… but then again no chance you’d get me stuck in the middle of a crowd like that!!!

quite happy watching on the sofa with a beer🤣
A fair game pint piss pot target.

Busta Rhymes sounds awful! His hype man is doing most of the work
As far as hip hop, I Wish they would get Nas. His shows with the London Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall last year were superb

I was at that. So good. Wish I could find a good quality recording of it

I'm gutted. I had no idea that was even going on.
  • Just watched Wet Leg again - brilliant.
  • Yes brilliant for Lewis that he performed with no obvious Tourette's symptoms. He was great.
En Vogue and Franz Ferdinand were meh.
    Blossoms better than meh.
Alanis Morissette just started - she appears to be more interested in getting her steps in and yodling, but it's early days.
Thought Franz Ferdinand were really good and I’m not a huge fan.

I thought they were a bit meh apart from "Take me Out".
  • Having never heard of the 1975, and them being the youngsters generational band, i now feel old for the first time.

Could only get through 1 song.

Did I mention hip hop doesn’t work live?

As for For Tet right now. Go on Kieron. Let’s ave it
  • Wunderhorse - lots of attitude and energy, shame about the songs.
  • A very youthful Gareth Ainsworth on sax for The 1975
  • Jo Whiley has scrubbed up lovely
  • I'm dipping in and out of The 1975.
Have they been playing the same song for the last 20minutes?
  • I really like Loyle Carner’s delivery, the mic camera is annoying me though.
  • If 1975 is the future of music, fuck it!!!

    Thankfully, they’re not

FF Bringing on the ‘other’ capaldi was genius. The rest was meh.

Thought Alanis was fun  she has stage fright and her way of dealing with it is to move around the stage.

Wunderhorse, CMAT and self esteem excellent.

1975 better then I thought they would be but lead signers ‘schtick’ is a bit grating.

The 1975 stage production cost 4x more then they are getting paid for tonight so at least they went for it.

Having been to many shows from De lá Soul to The Roots, it can work live. The aforementioned Nas shows are testament to that.

She performed like she had stage fright, I could see it in her eyes.
I thought maybe she hadn't gigged for years, so googled her.
She performs loads of gigs regularly.

Is the lead singer Tim Healey's kid?

He's so try hard.  Like a sixth former from a private school trying to be a rebel.

Reminds me of Simon Amstell doing an impression of Donny Tourette on Buzzcocks.

Yes, Tim Healy and Denise Welch.

I’ve seen De la Soul live twice. Shite. Love them though. Love hip hop. Current faves are RTJ denzel curry. Anderson Pak. But I’ve seen a lot live. The only one that was any good was the Beasties. The Roots are phenomenal musicians they don’t count. Any c*** that shouts “make some noise “ can fuck off. No YOU make some mate I paid you to
  • Biffy Clyro were good, as always.

     Spot on 😂
‘oh look at me ive drunk half a pint of guiness whilst smoking’

amstell would have taken him to town
  • Really enjoyed Pink Pantheress having not heard any of her music before.
  • Watched a couple of songs by loyle carner. Sounds a bit dull. Far to much jazz. Got an elevator music background to it. He raps ok though.
  • Catching up on Floating Points set
