Busta Rhymes sounds awful! His hype man is doing most of the work
As far as hip hop, I Wish they would get Nas. His shows with the London Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall last year were superb
Did I mention hip hop doesn’t work live?
As for For Tet right now. Go on Kieron. Let’s ave it
Off topic a bit mate but have you ever seen our old mate Oakenfold perform?
Loads mate. I used to go to clubs he played at a lot. Ended up talking to him quite a bit. Did so well for himself.
Yes he did I last saw him in a club/bar in Streatham back in the late 80's.....Spring Vale boy made good.
Probably Ziggys mate. That’s where he started off.
That's the one, I was working at the Railway depot at Selhurst at the time and had a mate who I was working with who lived in Streatham.....when Charlton were at 'home' I'd do a Saturday morning (overtime) and then go to the football and then we would go out in Streatham.

Didn’t realise he was from Greenhithe, was he here long?
Most of his childhood mate. Until he left school I think. Me and Hastings were part of a little crowd who knocked about together with him being one of the oldest.
Watching Amyl & the Sniffers.... Certainly different but allowing every swearword in the first 30 seconds of the set and yet Kneecap can't be seen at all makes me angry, yet again the BBC seem to be proving how hypocritical they are.
However, have to agree with a lot of lifers that the line ups so far have been a bit flat but Biffy Clyro are out on their own as best so far with Wet Leg and Capaldi not far behind plus we liked Self Esteem, never seen her before but not bad.

Without wanting to start a discussion that gets a thread taken down, it is very telling that over 600k people have watched a random woman streaming the Kneecap set on TikTok. Would be surprised if more than a handful BBC streams will hit those numbers

Weird I never knew that, bumped into him at one or two things many years ago, decent fella.

Yeah, that’s why kneecap are not being shown live, in case of swearing.

Not to sure how long, I knew him in the 70's to about 1980, he was born in London but his parents moved out to Greenhithe....can't recall exact years it was along time ago but have some good memories of growing up in Greenhithe back then.....was mates with Paul and brother Dave amongst many others.

Had some good times back then, I remember the football tournament he organised, had us wearing Ajax shirts for some reason....still at least it wasn't Chelsea shirts.

I went to cub scouts with them both. Oakies dad was in charge of it down the village hall next to the Pier.

I can remember that to, only in the cubs for a short while though.....sorry to other posters for going off piste with this thread.
Why is the selection so poor on BBC sounds? Lots on iPlayer, but far fewer options on sound only. I can find lots from yesterday, but today is Radio 6 or a short slot on Radio 1 & 2 until later
Lead singer of weezer still with that same smirk when he plays those opening chords for "say it ain't so". Remember when I first saw the music video and just smiled as I knew how happy he was with that rift.
So, where are Pulp (Patchwork)? They were scheduled to be on stage at 18.15.
BBC 2 right now are showing a bit of it.
It was Live on the iPlayer...finished now but think you can opt to watch it.
Just listening to pulps new one spike island. Man, stone roses need to get back together and do Glastonbury. Imagine that instead of the band that was on yesterday.

Its great! And I’m not even a fan. If I’m not mistaken it was he who who did a remix of U2s Mysterious Ways which I loved. Gonna go and track it down now.
