He’s literally released about 60 albums so probably best to switch off.

i bloody love the geezer and think he’s been great save for the big Greendale number he played last which went on a bit. He don’t care though, he’s a dude who has aways done his own thing….
  • Gonna be slated for this but RAYE is fantastic!

Don’t think anyone will slate you for that, her voice is incredible. Surely nailed on for the next bond tune

    Is Charli xcx miming?
No just a combo of her backing track also having her vocal and the vocoder on her vocals, makes it hard to differentiate the live mic and the backing track
I don’t think there’s much live vocals going on (that we can hear) other than “come on Glastonbury” etc

Kinda my point, it’s happening but the poor production makes it hard to tell
  • Charli is a good performer but I'm not sure she can actually sing at all, everything she does it autotuned to hell
  • Doechii is just amazing. Switched over from Charlie's set and it's so much more engaging and fun

I only saw a little bit of her. Reminds me of Amy Winehouse.

I bet when he first started out Neil young didn't changed his guitar for every song but I bet that's still the same shirt and hat from then.

Didn't he once play a whole set from his newly released album and then asked the audience if they would like to hear something they've heard before.....and then went and played the new album again !

    (Might be an urban myth)

That sounds like a van Morrison thing to do but you could be right, though Young was always great when I saw him, playing his "hits" like he is now doing..

Never in my life did I think I would be leaving Bella Ramsey half deaf after blasting Take Your Mama in her ears for 3 mins. Didn’t shame myself in singing but may have let them hear Jake alone if I had known 😂😂

Didn’t stop us chatting after so all good 👍

You may be correct with Van "the man" being the arsehole....

As for Neil Youngs "hits"......I knew just 3 of the songs he played. A bit much thinking he might do his version of the CSNY song American Dream.
  • I'm a fan of Neil young but his set was rather weak, especially as I've seen him do so much better. Choice of songs not quite right imo (mainly because he didn't play my favourites). Mic for him was too low. His voice hasn't changed all that much but needs to be amplified.
  • Jake from the Scissor Sisters is gonna take someone's eye out with that thing if he's not careful!

Not an urban myth at all!

Tonight’s the Night was the album.

He’s a miserable old sod but at least he sticks to his principles - he refused to be filmed at Woodstock and, 56 years later, is still doing the same. Glad they sorted it out though, it’s been a great set and covered about 15 of the 60 albums!

Happy to play festivals sponsored by mega corporations & banks but didn't want his set accessible on free to air TV with the potential to inspire, I think his principles are somewhat selective

Just tuned in and I think his vocals are somewhat selective!
  • Hey, throw your hatred down.
  • I don’t think I know a single Neil Young song - I am 54 for reference
  • charli xcx.. the game's gone.. didn't sing anything live, lixked the floor a bit and the only good song was a cover.  if that's the best our music has now its a sad indication of the downfall of the last grwat export our country had

    Is she the rapper..??

Just watching a repeat now. As my old man used to say...." wont take the place of music'"

(And that was when I was listening to The Beatles).

Funny how different things please different people.

He is someone I have heard of for last 35 years but no idea what he sings.

    What is his biggest hit?
will give it a listen to see if he is one of those artists you don’t know, but know their songs

I'm 20 years younger than you and I know loads of songs by him. Hey ho..

I'm 14 years older and I pretty much know them all!
I've seen Neil Young perform better and with a better set (not that I didn't enjoy tonight) - but he is still and always was and always will be one of my Gods.
