I was once told by an RAF physical trainer that it takes a month to get a man fit.
I know our season finished late, and today and tomorrow will be punishingly and maybe dangerously hot, but reporting back next Monday only gives us five weeks to get sorted before the first game.
We rely on being super fit compared with other teams, I hope five weeks is long enough for us to be ready.
Do you think the players have been doing nothing since the end of May. They are probably all wearing Apple Watches, uploading the data to the club, were giving things like connected scales which will upload data to the club as well. No hiding at all
Cawley said on his podcast quite a few agents have personal trainers etc in place for their clients to do the club mandated fitness program and additional stuff. Often means unattached players are also not letting themselves go completely.

It’s that time of the day when we have to resort to checking X for any replies to fans from Rich Cawley as we’re so desperate for a new rumour or announcement.

He’s confirmed there are things progressing and believes there’s nothing in the Shelvey link.

Heard an Italian mentioned from the crumbs of information I have. Cantuccini. A tough one from Tuscany.

Shameful and quite frankly boring amount of cheese Puns that, thanks to some of you has made @Foxycafc 's difficult job even harder.

If I was him I'd get on here and give some of you Roquefort!

I remember Lisbie roasting him for Cray Paper Mills. Not sure he is that good a signing for them

    They’re just jealous mate…😉

Maybe we'll see [Insert new signing] roast him again first game of the season...or just TC doing it would be fine!

How has the headline writer gone with ‘sign’ rather than ‘land’ or ‘catch’.

I'd forgotten than Posh had agreed to let Jed Steer go for personal reasons. He doesn't have a new club yet.

Is that a threat? Do we need to tread Caerphilly?

He'll get a champ No2 role somewhere easily I would think. If we didn't have Mannion I'd be well up for signing him.

If a signing was imminent, we'd normally be treated to a teaser, a brief glimpse of leg, or part of an ear' ole, or some grains of sand from under his finger nails, something like that in mystery guest format. Guess that means we can leave this for another day. Sorry, no rumours.

Wonder if we will see anyone on trial out in Slovenia this pre season?

Last time out there we had Teddy Stinking Bishop on trial just over 12 months ago
I've heard whispers of 2 lads, only heard first names though, Cam and Bert
Too soft for a Jones team

Might better suit Parma than Charlton

A month on since we gained promotion & only 1 new body in the building.

Lots need to happen over the next 12 days if the new squad is going to gel when they go away to the "training camp".
