Misinformation is becoming dangerous, there were people arguing yesterday about the heat alerts, saying 'it's summer' and it's the Government trying to control us. I saw some posts claiming that sun cream & wearing sun glasses is dangerous. I saw another that said that rape seed oil is in everything and is being used to fry us. It beggars belief that people actually believe this rubbish.
Sadly it is my generation that seems to be the one that is most likely to fall for misinformation and science is ignored.3 -
Many social media posts in my opinion are either attention seeking or rage bait.

Any chance of moving on to more general 'fun' things rather than re-hashing quasi-political stuff from the free speech thread. Thanks.6

And the choice of quasi Italian/French/Belgian/American lagers will doubtless all have been brewed in the same giant stainless steel tanks in Staffordshire, with largely identical ingredients. Don't go back to that pub, is my advice.
I did visit one pub in Waltham Abbey where the landlord, when asked what bitters he had, proudly declared none, it's all lager in here. Or Guinness.
Deeming it unworthy of my trade, I insisted to my very thirsty lager drinking companion that we leave immediately. Some pubs deserve to close.0 -
Air conditioning, its never quite right for me and I don't get to decide what it should be set at. The train this morning wasn't too bad, I get into work and they couldn't get it colder. I bet the train this afternoon won't have any.0

My missus losing shit!! - Goes to work this morning, she cant find her stethoscope, thinking she's left it at home... the latest item of many that she "misplaces" - I pull apart the living room in this f**king heat, trying to find it for her, as she thinks she's left it at home.
Just had a message... "Found it"

1. Being forced into a route march past seemingly endless retail outlets in buildings designed to encourage impulse buying. Airports have always been the worst places for this, but it seems that motorway services are doing their level best to catch up. No, I don't want to sit in a vibrating chair drenched in over priced nasally-offensive smellies, eating a big box of iced doughnuts whilst looking at my newly blinged-up phone whilst illuminated by a vlogger's lighting ring. It's all junk.
2. My feelings of utter despair for the human race when I realise that other people must be shelling out on all this junk otherwise they wouldn't sell it.

The 60 mph limit on the M1 near Luton and Dunstable and the bullsh*t reasons given for the limit. This evening heading South I hit the limit, the condescending sign tells me the limit is due to congestion. Absolute rubbish, very few cars on the road for 19:00 they even turned off the hardshoulder it was that quiet. Why can't they be honest and either say we need some cash, or want to reduce pollution?I've seen the same reason in the middle of the night.Nothing worse than being told bullsh*t, and especially the completely unbelievable kind.Second thing, modern white line paint is rubbish. Lasts a week and starts wearing out.1

That sort of accepted shitty pure profiteering bureaucracy. Drop off fees at a fucking airport then making it nigh on impossible to stop or rest anywhere nearby
Parking full stop to be honest
Airports and whilst fully accepting there are things that must be done for security purposes the whole pisstake with that. 7 quid for fast track security, this is something we get no choice over, staff it properly.
How tax never goes down (if I hear another patronising, priveleged cocksucker in government go on about putting sums like £500 a year back into workong families pockets) yet we get less and less in return for it.
How my day at work now and time has to be justified down to the second to the point a lot of jobs require me to do more justifying than doing which has just become accepted.
Less police actually policing and being visible

The amount of ladies (particularly those that are so vocal about misogyny) going to see convicted woman beater Chris Brown is concert over the last couple of weeks.
The hypocrisy is rife.3 -

Easy peelers from Sainsburys, absolutely no need for then and they are tasteless. And the tasteless bit I would extend to a lot of our supermarket fruit & veg. They all look the right shape colour and size but lack the important taste factor. I think they are obviously imported unripe. The Europeans must have a chuckle when they crate up their produce and ship it off to us.4
