Swansea front-runners for Galbraith according to FLW.
FLW just a bunch of made up rumours that being said since having a bid rejected we’ve heard nothing about him from our end also have thrown a lot of money into Kaminski Oloafe I’d be shocked if we keep up the trend of spending minimum 7 figures on every signing from now to the end of the window
Why shocked kaminski is a class signing we've got him relatively cheap ,we can't be going into a new season without trying to get players of Galbraiths stature and they cost money i'd say if olaofe at around 1.5 million is our a biggest spend on an unproven player at this level then we are in big trouble but I honestly doubt it and have faith the owners and Jones know what their doing. It's not about being tight it's about improving our attacking ability which to me is still way short for the next level.
I'd like to think we have bigger outlays than £1.5m on Oloafe planned. That's just the new going rate for someone with his record. I'm not expecting us to smash the Jason Euell transfer record but I could see a £2-3m outlay on the right player.
Very disappointing if he signs there. Going for a very fair/cheap price and improves us. Can't say we weren't interested either as we bid
Unless I missed it that FLW doesn’t mention price other than our bid and the Hudds one at £2.5m which I’d say is the upper limit of what he’s worth I think
Swansea were after Galbraith in January so may be some substances to that. Would be frustrating if we missed out by not paying that bit more that was needed.
Funny how the last 2 incumbents managed to achieve a club record number of clean sheets last season but are now not wanted. Thats thanks for you....😄
Watch out, Golfie. Word on the streets is that a ruthless purge of unsupportive ot hypercritical posters is next. You could find yourself posting on the Gillingham board after August.

They offered 1.3m according to my cousin who is fanzine editor over there, so I think they’re going to be keen - wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up there

I think it’s more the fact Galbraith thinks he can do better than us
If he thinks that then good luck to him. Can't imagine that type of attitude going down well with NJ. Good player but not worth the hassle if there's no interest from his end.

Worth every penny, he's class and Jones must want him. I think he would fit like a glove here, just have a feeling. He just offers something we lack similar to Tanto, that's invaluable.

To be fair, we don't know that. The fact he signed for Orient in the first place and has consistently played shows he probably doesn't have an attitude and was willing to rebuild his career similar to our Kayne.
I would say it's more so Swansea have a bit more breathing room than us and have upped their offer.
If that is the case, I'd like to see us match them at least if we can. It would be very difficult to find a player with his qualities that can also play about 4 different roles and only being 24. Players like this are proper upgrades and affordable. Would be nice to see.

Article has zero mention of Swansea upping their offer. It's just a fluff piece put out by a party with a motive to drive a bidding war.

The only other reported fee is double what we reportedly offered though, can't imagine we value him as worth it otherwise we'd have offered a lot more. And maybe not paying the fee there means we could jump in for Kaminski or Tanto or someone completely different. I like Galbraith as a player but I back Jones/Chapple to know about alternatives we wouldn't even consider

It is speculation. Jay speculated it is the players attitude towards us why he may not sign, I have then speculated if he does go to Swansea, it will be probably be a financial issue or decision as we have shown confirmed interest.
I listen to FLW a bit more considering they have had a few scoops this window.
Every club will put a minimum value on their player Every recruitment team will put a maximum of what they feel a player is worth. Both transfer and wages.
As with Little Terry - we put a maximum we were prepared to pay him. Others offered more so he moves and we move on.
if the maths ain’t mathsing then I’m glad we are prepared to walk away and zone in on a new target.
Still a long time to go in this window so let’s see what other rabbits they can pull out of the hat but I’m happy with the business already done as well as the names we have been linked with. I think they might know what they are doing
Pretty sure Football League World reported Carey was signing for Derby on the same day he signed for us?
SkySportsPeteO. A rare PeteO miss.
FLW have been shocking and clickbait for a while, it is just recently they seem to be getting some scoops is all, that's why I think they're worth sourcing now.
