With the amount of games he's played (even though past few years have been at a higher level), im not convinced Burke would come in as part of starting 11.

Last four seasons with Luton, games played of 17, 22, 22, 29.

Having said that, he played 30+ games with Hull for three seasons in a row before that.

Reece Burke's current annual salary at Luton Town is £650,000, which translates to £12,500 per week,

Burke makes sense from what was described but it’s not obvious where he fits in if he’s going to be a regular starter. I don’t like the idea of Ramsay moving to RWB, I think we need more attacking threat on that side if we’re sticking with Edwards at LWB.

We do need another LWB though, and it’ll be interesting to see if we go for a similar player to Edwards or someone more attacking.

Hopefully he’s not a replacement for Ramsay being sold.

I know we need depth, but I can’t imagine Burke coming in on a decent wage to be back up for our two best players last season in Ramsay and Jones.
Ramsay played 9 games at wingback last season, won MOTM at Rotherham, Bolton and Birmingham was only pipped to it at Wigan with Jones late goal and even though we lost was our best player at Reading. Just because he’s not this speedster flying wingback who can dribble past 10x players doesn’t mean he’s not a good wingback option. Id prefer him at cb as well but he’s already a better wingback then anyone we can bring in, if in the transfer market we feel we can get a better RCB than RWB then you do that and move Ramsay to RWB or vice versa we find a better RWB than RCB we keep Ramsay at RCB. Wherever you put him he’s automatically the best player in that position

Maybe he does, but I would say that over recent seasons we have got better value for money buying players from clubs below us than from clubs above us. Successes and failures from both directions, but the failures from above have cost us a lot more.

    from clubs below us
    Ramsay big success
    Lloyd Jones big success
    Alfie May big success

    Is someone signing this afternoon?
Wouldn't expect any announcements/press releases from anywhere today after the tragic Jota news.
    Defender.
    May not be announced then.
We're going to play Alfie in defence now are we....?

Only problem with Ramsay at RWB is he pretty much offers nothing going forward and neither does Edwards on the other side. That means it’s all on whoever plays the TC role to create.

Interesting that Norwich are still owed money from
Sheff Wed for Famewo .. looks the deadline for payment was missed last week

5 assists and a goal for Edwards in league last season.

I seem to remember Ramsay being very strong and willing as a runner taking the ball forward last season.... maybe not taking people on per se.

He is keeping very tight lipped and I have used my two guesses.
I was hoping that the genuine ITKs would know.
Brilliant news! Neither Famewo or Burke I’d like.

Ramsay is quick and can dribble past players, but his strengths are defending over adding width and crosses. The issue for me is we need balance in the team, a GK, 5 natural defenders and a defensive midfielder doesn’t give us that.

However if it’s not Burke perhaps it’s a wing back (either side) or a left footed CB. That would be more logical to me.

Wonder if it’s Offiah? Or has he been confirmed by Preston?

Love him and I think he’s a great defender, but a threatening wing back he is not. They obviously all count, but none of those assists came from areas you’d want/expect an attacking wing back to get into.

We don’t need to be that and we won’t be that either. It will be much the same as last season where we keep a tight ship and build from there. I think we are going to be quite the shithouse team and I can’t wait, bring it on. For once we will play Smallwall at their own game!

Are we sure that Pratleys legs have gone? Maybe he is dropping back from midfield.
I see he has retired from football. What a great professional footballer he has been.

Charlton players are back at sparrows lane today …
Will you be taking up your usual spot hiding behind the bushes alongside the Metrogas pitches?

Thought he was good for Stockport last season. Was on loan from Norwich and they have signed a couple of centre halves this window so pushing him down the pecking order. Wouldn’t be adverse to him signing.
