Finch aside (against his former county of course) Kent just looked short of anyone with any nous with the bat. Billings for all his franchise deals and how much he thinks he should be in the England setup was woeful.
Don't understand why Kent haven't got a T20 overseas bat. Tom Rogers is a rather good signing but feels like you're missing something with the bat.
The way that our Harry took on the opposition gave us hope....but then we know what that usually means. No-one else looked remotely like getting us close to their target, sadly.
And Mr Mills was far too quick for our lads....
We were due to have our annual 3 night stay in Broadstairs next weekend to take in the Friday evening & Sunday matches but have made the decision to hold onto our hard earned & watch the streams.
Plan to take in a couple of 50 over matches including v Sussex in Arundel in the hope that once again, the Hundred ( spit) will affect other counties more than ours and that we might have some success.
Fanny you might be in luck with the Arundel game! Sussex tend to put out in effect an U23 side in the ODC and rest the overseas players. Probably 2-3 missing to * that competition* anyway.
Thought Benjamin was out for the season? In the squad for tomorrow...
The update prior to the Northants CC match was "Chris Benjamin suffered from a dislocated shoulder in Kent Spitfires’ Vitality Blast away match at Middlesex and medical advice from specialists suggests that he will be out for the remainder of this Summer". This changed to, prior to Friday's game against Sussex "Chris Benjamin dislocated his shoulder in Kent Spitfires’ away match at Middlesex earlier in the competition and medical advice from specialists suggests that he will be out for the remainder of this Summer’s Vitality Blast".
He played for Minster today in the KPL and made 5.
Also in the team news "Wes Agar has had difficulties obtaining an extended work visa to continue his third Summer as a Kent cricketer, and is unavailable for selection at this time. He will become available again once his visa has been extended."

I've never heard of an experienced overseas player having visa extension issues. Indeed considering the conveyor belt of overseas players flying in to play a couple of games only, it seems even more weird

Yeah that seems really odd when Hampshire have signed Chris Lynn and Hilton Cartwright for 4 games and there seems to be a conveyor belt of Aussie's over at the moment.

It's just a flesh wound...
