Might be oversimplifying here, but I think he does have a point?
No one forced clubs to pay those wages though, both parties are equally to blame imo and it's only going to get worse.
Its just a typical chicken vs egg scenario...
Clubs will continue paying the wages that players demand, because they're scared that they'll lose their best players, and so lose the advantage they're currently having with the revenue / prize money they get as a result.
All clubs need to agree to put their foot down, but you just know there will always be one (Probably someone like Real Madrid) who'll agree to it, and then do the complete opposite. Its like McAnthony at Peterborough a few years ago, trying to get the rest of League One to refuse to sign any Premier League players on loan, because of the loan fees that were being demanded.
Also the clubs themselves have Squad depth don't they...
There is nothing stopping them from resting Kane, Bellingham etc. if they really wanted to.

Except you have Pep saying he wants a smaller squad next season as he doesn't like leaving players out. But with 4 competitions, internationals, and a shorter pre-season this summer surely he needs to rotate to keep players fresh? Look at the amount of injuries they had last year.
Always great to see Real Madrid get a beating, PSG at the moment are unreal. Lets hope they batter Chelsea too in the final, normally i dont like PSG but how they are playing at the moment, i enjoy watching them!
Not sure why people are complaining footy is on, when i miss my football so much even if it was a non league/ amateur event i'd still be watching it, some of the times have been a bit ridiculous, but i've watched a fair bit and there has been some good games/ good football so beats no football.
There is exactly one month between the CWC final and their Super Cup final v Spurs.
Not sure if it's true but i've seen it rumoured that Enrique is giving them 4 weeks off, and that the team will only report back for training 3 days before the Spurs game.

A few thoughts on this.
Probably like you, I’ve been watching (some games) in between watching the U21 tournament and now the women’s tournament (ok, only England in that one).
Re the final, I suspect PSG won’t find Chelsea will be such a pushover as all the other teams they’ve come across. Chelsea set out with a plan a couple of seasons ago to bring in some young, quality players from around the world but hit the stumbling block for a while in that nobody was talking to each other on the pitch, the very expensive Fernandez reminded me of us when we signed Allan Simeonson (ie at first he would naively expect his teammates to pass the ball to him and in turn be in the space where he passed the ball) and so their gameplan just looked disjointed and would often just go to shit. They’ve now had time to bed it in. They are probably going to wipe the floor with the PL this coming season.
Chelsea v PSG is going to be the game that cements this tournament into the calendar and the rope clubs all wanting to be in the mix for qualification.
Picking up a couple of loans from them would be handy because there are probably a lot of quality players at the club that no longer fit their gameplan and we might be able to keep the next Gallagher this time around as they start to offload them.

CWC is the Champions league winners v Conference League winners so a step below the super cup.
PSG will batter Chelsea. Chelsea have intentionally set up this season to press in a way that exposes deficiencies of lower quality teams who rely on explosive players rather than brilliant tactical systems. PSG have both brilliant players and brilliant tactics and have played a much higher standard of opposition and looked convincing doing so.

Yeah pretty much , although i have swerved the women's for now, although i will watch it if I'm indoors and England play.
Well see, i thought Real Madrid might try and make a statement but PSG are just too good, Chelsea are improving and playing well through this so far but PSG is the next level really, i cant see them causing problems unless PSG run out of steam, although unlikely as they just seem to grow each game and could be a force for years this rate.. i know a bit of a wild one given the other top teams and for any side to dominate Europe it will be tough (bar Real's recent records)
Unfortunately i cant see anyone involved for Chelsea dropping down to a mid/ low table team maybe the top championship at best, more likely they go abroad those who are not going to be part of the first team. I still put Chelsea battling for top 4, i think Arsenal/ Liverpool and City still ahead for now. I do agree they are looking good but hard to judge the end of the season and playing teams from Saudi and Brazil.

The problem is that most of their young players these days seem to be South American, so they're not going to work for a side likely fighting a battle in the bottom 6-8 of the championship.
They have two 19 year olds (Acheampong and George), but both have made a number of first team appearances so definitely aren't going to be dropping down to the championship.
Aside from that you're stepping into the unknown of their U21s, and i doubt many of us would know who they were, but then again we didn't know Gallagher so that could still work.
How on earth are they 1-minute into a game that should have KO'd at 8pm? - I mean if you're going to do some big fanfare beforehand, surely get it all done ahead of the 8pm KO?
Or have FIFA watched a few Charlton games kick off late, and thought: "We'll have some of that"

e.g. a warm up to make sure that the host of the World Cup is "ready" for the main event
So surely it should be Spain / Portugal hosting the next one, with Saudi Arabia hosting it in '33

This tournament has been going on for a month and the individual player announcements onto the pitch still annoy me.
American dogshit.
