Along with scheduled rest.
An important luxury that is a requirement for a healthy lifestyle. Perhaps it goes unnoticed and we need it a lot more than expected.
Working 6 days a week and picking up mild injuries makes me fantasise about an early retirement or the considerable possibility of eventually working from home.
My number 1 daytime dream is living on a 20th floor large penthouse apartment.
A 64" TV with a PS5 Pro console and a £1,000 worth of free just eat vouchers.
The following day consists of walking on a clear empty beach. Take a long walk in mild 24°C heat Perhaps carry a set of binoculars, eat fish & Chips, drink a can of coke and have an Ice cream. Looking at the sky and almost doing absolutely nothing.
Does anyone else have a strong vaguely similar desire?

Its strange as you get older your dream lifestyles change, mine now is a house with separate music/cinema room, in a field with no neighbours. It also has to have shops, pubs, takeaways, restaurants of various kinds, good road and public transport links, a university hospital and a doctors surgery with doctors in it.
As for the first post, health is wealth.
Don't know why but always find it calming and uplifting.
Being by water, sea or river, is similar.
Unless you are alone on an island you are not too far away from inconsiderate arseholes !
That's a good one. I may add to that.
Live by a lake with a clear sky and hear the birds singing in the morning.
Don't have to bother with winter heat bills and summer air con.
Read a book on the patio.
The acoustic guitar and fishing rod want to be picked up and you don't even know what the time is!
Restaurant in Sorrento, looking towards Naples wife and myself.
we live a quiet life most of the time and I love it. Keep ourselves to ourselves, neighbours look after each other etc
a year ago I got new next door neighbours - the house previously tenanted by Alfie May. The new residents are…..slightly different
There’s a special needs daughter and her Mum. Plus regular visits from carers. Quite why they need such a big house is beyond me. The daughter often screams and shouts in the road out the front and blocks the cars of her carers because she doesn’t want them to leave. Loud music at random times. The mom had some friends over and had a hot tub party starting at 3am last Sunday morning. I politely knocked and asked them to consider the neighbours but they carried on until 8-15 in the morning.
its when stuff like that happens they you appreciate the peace and quiet and you also realise there are some unbelievably antisocial people out there.
Wild life is returning and it’s very peaceful. The house is 100years old and was built by her uncle or great uncle. It’s very basic but lovely. Just 4 rooms.
We go there as often as we can. If the lottery or an inheritance happens we’d be there the next day.
Living in a house that can be traced right back to when records began built from the ruins of a castle (thanks Mr Cromwell) its a real inspiration to what can be done to bring these beautiful houses back to life.
I love the peace and quiet here but this last week, where we’ve had the heatwave, every available beach/coast space was overrun.
Grateful for my she shed and deck chair 😎💚
