Every one has Autism to a greater or lesser extent, ( eating peas before your fish fingers, separating your smarties into colour groupings) but most people with the condition know right from wrong.
I am of the opinion Mr Wallace is child in a man’s body.
They should show it. Or give every participant entry into another series.
The BBC now feel forced to pretend that they care about sexual abuse.
It will override any kind of logic or fairness.
He wasn't employed by the BBC. He was employed by Shine TV (MasterChef), RDF West (Eat Well For Less), Voltage TV (Inside the Factory) and Optomen (Saturday Kitchen).
The BBC is far less culpable for his actions as a freelancer working for independent production companies than those companies and are.
His reprehensible behaviour is his fault, no matter how much BBC-bashers want it to be the fault of the broadcaster.
I know Gregg Wallace, not personally but I know him. I work with Gregg Wallaces, they are in my local.
Actually I might be being a bit unfair to a lot of the Greggs. They essentially have not had their behaviour pulled up when this sort of stuff was just a sparkle in their mind. So it grows and then when they start getting their dicks out to female researchers on a tv show its too late and a litany of sackable offences have occurred.
I've always struggled to understand flashers and those who come out with gross imposing sexual comments. I pulled a bloke up maybe 7 or 8 years ago for doing this sort of thing with one of the girls who has the honour of cleaning up the toilets in our yard after some man-child has done a dirty protest in one of them. His reaction was firstly one of aggression then when I pointed out he would be out on his arse if anyone actually reported what he'd done, one of cowed shame and self pity. Not what I'd call remorse or reflection. When that failed I asked him how he woukd feel if someone was doing that sort of creepy bullshit to one of his daughters and the message started to leak through, he genuinely didnt care that behaving like that is wrong and bullying as far as I'm concerned
I'm among the worst in the world for some of the vulgarity that comes out of my mouth but, read the room. Generally women, especially women, and a lot of men wouldn't appreciate me giving my telling of how I think Freddie Mercury caught AIDS (this is an extreme hypothetical example) however some of my more grotesque friends might find common ground, you know what I mean. That sort of stuff isnt for a lot of scoring settings let alone the workplace.
The excusing of his behaviour is sadly something he has learned from watching others do what he will see as playing a race card as if its some sort of catch all for poor behaviour.
I'm massively biased as I have never liked the bloke and felt I could see him for what he is however we all know at least a handful of Gregg Wallaces.

I stand corrected.
But my mild counter argument towards that - is...erm I don't like BBC. The BBC are sh*t.

I think a few of the women had made complaints that weren’t followed up properly. I’m wondering who they complained to? The BBC or the companies he worked for. Just curious.
My take on this is that some people don't deal with power well in all sorts of ways. And because they have some power, that is allowed and enabled. It absolutely reflects badly on the BBC.

Think I agree with this. Whilst he was trying to turn this into a class war, he obviously didn't realise there's a time and place for all sorts of behaviour, whether you are at home, the pub, at work etc. if yes been pulled up the first time he crossed the line then it wouldn't have escalated so ultimately it's a failure across the board. I've seen plenty of toxic bosses, bad behaviour that gets unchecked, people resigning because twats weren't dealt with so it's not that uncommon
Think the professional version with Marcus Waring and Monica will survive but I can't see them doing anything with the main series or Celeb MasterChef for a while
This year's 'normal' series was recorded last year, and apparently the BBC were already wondering whether it should air as Gregg Wallace was in it, but potentially edited to remove him as much as possible out of respect for the contestants who participated.
What John Torode's sacking now does for that idea will be interesting...
So John Terode sacked for an alleged racist comment , which he denies making , and has nonetheless apologised for , which happened outside of the show , eight years ago.
He has worked there for years and years and no other complaints against him were made.
I’m not a fan of him personally but can’t help thinking that as the BBC fucks up every important editorial decision on Israel / Palestine it’s a farce to see John Terode sacked
I know the independent company sacked him but that will have been under pressure. Classic deflection tactics
I don't care for John Torode, I actively dislike Greg Wallace but John Torode, pah whatever
Its another dodgy precedent sacking someone for an alleged racially unpleasant word that he denies saying and either way apologised for. Where does that stop and I personally think its just the BBC again over-correcting and pretending they aren't an organisation run by old white blokes running around absolutely petrified of when the axe is going to swing towards them.
What's the road to redemption? What did he say? Alan Carr, Graham Norton, the entire wicken on loose wome have made careers out of being sexually suggestive, making advances in the name of banter. Do they all need to be sacked? Of course they don't, I dont like their shit but I can chose to not watch but if the BBC has decided there is a line in terms of racially offensive allegedly being used I'd like to know what it is. They sacked Danny Baker for something he should never have been sacked for and thats why I'm questioning this one. If John Torode said something unacceptable, its proven then fine but I'm sceptical

Can’t be much of a step up from being an amateur?

Thank God Little Chef was only responsible for mild food poisoning, allegedly.

Nailed on!
Absolute crap of the highest order.
Whatever happened to British TV?
