Her departure have ensured the club get the negotiations done for Apter, always need an incoming to counteract a disappointing outgoing.

Beds is getting some flak but there's an element in what he says that strikes a chord with me. Over recent months the club have been increasingly filling round holes with round pegs - we're seeing what seem to be sensible appointments, and they keep on coming. The club appears to be in better place than it has been in years and Tracey's departure won't be as disruptive as it once could have been. It will be well handled - perhaps this was a determining factor, as now seems as opportune a moment to hand the baton over as I can recall.
But Tracey’s role has nothing remotely to do with Alice’s role. To suggest otherwise and question that the two events are possibly linked is bizarre.

Very strange inference regardless of how much he’s back tracked now

Thank you Tracey, she will be missed. It is always hard to measure someone's impact, but we can be sure Tracey's has been immense. She has helped intervene against Southall, as well as helping new players settle, and the PSA testing. Well done and all the best in what's next.

A shining beacon of light through some very dark days for our wonderful football club. The Leaburn family have contributed so much to Charlton, and none more than Tracey.

With love and very best wishes, Tracey, for whatever the future holds for you xx

As some seeds have been planted can I please confirm that the bout booked for Macro's car park between Tracey 'knockout' Leaburn and Alice 'Iron' Larkworthy was made by a social media influencer and will not take place. 🥊🥊

Really surprising news. Will be impossible to replace like for like. She deserves a special sent off in some way.

Wow, but not a good “wow”. I think she may be incredibly hard to replace.

Thank you Tracey what a brilliant job you have done!! I remember Tracey being one of the staff who stood up to Matt Southall and the other crooks forever a Charlton legend.

I’ve met her on so many occasions and it’s clear that she has a massive Charlton heart. The thing which really stands out was risking her own position to fight for the club against that fraud **** Southall.

Such a sad loss to the club. Good luck Tracey.

If there is a link. It could only be a cost balancing one. Not saying there is.

I'd be incredibly surprised if she isn't replaced. All top clubs have a player liaison officer

Not been on here so much in recent days so just catching up. A shock to say the least.   Tracey has been a shining star at our club and I for one know exactly what she does by way of going that extra mile.  Thank you Tracey for everything and may your next move bring you happiness and wellbeing.

    Not good news .
Alice Larkworthy announced as the club’s new Commercial Director in the morning and Tracey says she leaving in the afternoon.
    Hopefully just coincidence .
You think the new commercial director’s first act was to fire a club stalwart and legend with no explanation as to why?

Not everything has a dark meaning. Sometimes things just happen
Where did I say that ? Jeeez I’ll fucking shut up in future .
    You’re joking right?
About what ? Where did I say she was sacked ? Where did i say it had a dark meaning ?
You must suffer from the hard of reading .

Ah right. So you weren’t inferring the two things are linked then yea? My mistake 😒

You fooled everyone then apparently looking at the responses you got. Good one
    Bore off pal 😴😴😴😴
To be honest Beds, this is so Charlton Life and how a half jest line turns into a major conspiracy theory.

Although I'm surprised that the clubs press release has her with Patrick Bauer and not Miles or Carl .... maybe she's joining hom at his next club or even joining Preston. Subliminal messages!

    Irreplaceable. Simple as that.
  • Has done an amazing job - the club was very lucky to have her working for them.

I am sure we will still see a lot of her seeing as her son still plays for us and has just signed a three year deal.

    Irreplaceable. Simple as that.

Reading the 12 pages and for probably the 1st time on a thread, 100% agreement to the amazing contribution to the players welfare achieved by Tracey Leaburn; the fact is, she will need to be replaced.

The ideal situation:  Someone inside the club had shadowed Our Tracey for at least three months and learnt from the best but the job will be advertised and if a players liaison officer comes from outside then I wish that person luck because if they see it just as a job and not a vocation then they will surely struggle.

Big shoes to follow ? Yes as big as Miles and Carl's shoes !
