"Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy..."

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2025/jul/18/couple-caught-coldplay-kiss-cam-affair-very-shy

It is a moment of shock and mortification in Massachusetts that has transfixed the internet.  A camera at a Coldplay concert near Boston sweeps the audience and picks out a canoodling couple. But as they see their image beamed on to the screen the man and woman do not kiss and wave. Instead, their eyes widen in horror and they break apart: she turns and buries her face in her hands, he ducks down to the ground, perhaps willing it to swallow him.

She's the Chief People Officer of a business.  He's the CEO of the same business. He's married.  But not to her.

  • Absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke.

  • I sell into the HR function.  For years I’ve attended conferences and events and there’s always something along the line ‘HR earning and maintaining a seat at the boardroom table’

I’ve had to consciously resist the urge today in putting up a Linkedin post saying they’ve finally found a way.

    Do you know him? Spill

I dont know him but know the name. Reasonably well known in tech. Callum is in the states and tech sector so I expect knows more than me of his reputation.

No joke, I think something has happened like this at every place I have ever worked at and I have worked for a lot of organisations, it was absolutely rife at my last job, probably the worst I have ever seen. Not being caught cheating at a Coldplay gig just to clarify, just cheating.

Why do people get married and have flings, I'll never understand it.

Loved seeing them get caught can't lie 😂
    Get married and you'll understand.
I'd never get married, love having 3 girlfriends.
Today, on the things that never happened……………..
Now, now. At least all of my girlfriends are in their 30s & age appropriate.

I'm not on social media thirsting over people a third of my age 😉

Slapped it right on my socials knowing a fair few people that follow me are into infidelity.

Do they know about each other? 😉
  • As Lemmy once said, he would never get married because he couldn’t be faithful, people should just be more honest with each other.
  • Great to see the narrative of HR heads fucking their way to the top being challenged here... 😏
I suppose part of it depends on how much someone stigmatises sex and its almost weaponisation within a patriarchal society.
if you are willing to be open and accept sex for what it is as an entirely natural thing and say it holds no currency, then people perhaps can’t use it for gain and as a vehicle for exploitation. It has been made a commodity thru its stigmatisation: advertising, music, film (particularly as a promotional tool, to grab people’s attention), it’s still fairly taboo and this is where it is exploited.
wether someone wants to allow themselves to be exploited through sex by someone for that persons own gain to get a career boost is on that person and perhaps they need to be more grown up about what they want and need in their life, if they’re marriage is rocky and they wish they were with this person instead they should grow up and do something about it.

    is all….
    🤷🏻‍♂️
