Cant believe how few rumours there have been since the last rumours and signings. Disgraceful how low the hit rate is on this site, the ITK brigade must be truly ashamed. And the Linda stalkers.1

Anyone gotta rumour...asking for someone who can't be arsed to ask...🙄4

And not all the companies losses are counted towards financiall fair play calculationsCovered End said:https://www.castrust.org/2025/04/charlton-lost-13-9m-in-23-24/£13.9M loss in 23/24.
How much of the loss was on player acquisition?2 -
America and Charlton just don’t sound right for a pre season game.sam3110 said:I'm surprised our owners haven't tapped into the US market yet, be that in players, a pre season game or even more exposure over there.
As for American players market , no thank you just wouldn’t be good enough or experienced enough for championship.
Exposure of Charlton in US of A been done before by better ex managers and players of Charlton.
Dont need exposure if the 40000 fans at Wembley come back this season.🤣
The Valley won’t be big enough.1 -
Mobile , but lacks awareness and has a tendency to pick the wrong option. Not known as an effective finisher. It’s a ‘qué?’ from me.eastterrace6168 said:

Reminds me of when we tried to sign Alex the left back from the 2002 Japanese WC squad.5

Didn’t someone here mention we were looking in Asia along with two other names?10

Yes, someone mentioned an Asian player along with Kelman and Knibbs…fenaddick said:Didn’t someone here mention we were looking in Asia along with two other names?19 -
Wow, that's a bit more exotic than the usual rumours.Charlton_Stu said:
Not a full international, so would there be work permit issues?2 -
I reckon thats probably the real reason Tracey bailed out, she didn't fancy learning Japanese.Braziliance said:

Wasn’t bad as a manager as well.DennisBooth said:Ron Saunders was a small centre forward but I was amazed at how good he was in the air. He seemed to specialise in the diving header.Got Villis through to quarter finals European Cup as well as winning League the year before.
NB He was sacked at Villa before playing quarter final.1 -
Think of the songs we could have with a name like "FUKUDA".....

"Hi all, first time posting but always enjoy the debates on this forum.
Wanted to pass on something I had heard which looks pretty reliable - expecting two in this week - I have been told that it is Knibbs and Kelman. Both are “close to complete”. After that, there is interest on a player in the Asian market, although no name has been given. Been told to expect a big week.
Understand anyone’s skepticism as a first time poster, but watch this space"
What doesn't fit is Knibbs going to Ireland with Reading, though that doesn't mean the clubs aren't negotiating.4 -
Think the MLS interest in Kelman could make things interesting on that front too.Scoham said:

Yeah, born in England, a few on here confirmed his mum is Japanese.MarcusH26 said:

With a six figure release clause I am sure that there is a deal to be done there. Suspect we wanted a loan-to-buy option to hedge against him not settling down in Europe.6

Have we considered what the Orient madman thinks?9

Fair play, I shit all over that thinking it was nonsense, but the Japanese link is too obscure to guess.Scoham said:

Doubtful whoever posted that reads here but apologies for jumping the gun.5 -
If we sign Knibbs and Kelman it'll be the best window I can rememberScoham said:
