Surely not? I know he signed for Forest in the PL but they were newly promoted at the time and he was coming from the Championship. Crazy salary if true.

What’s funny is constantly being told Wrexham are transfer big spenders when they are clearly not . They might be Hollywood but they have also made themselves probably the most disliked club outside the Premiership.

Also Josh windass put up 13 goals and five assists last season in the championship so I don't really see what's funny about getting those numbers on a free,the weird bashing of Wrexham is funny I can't stand the Hollywoodness about them but they are looking more solid with the signings they've made soo far with some proven players.
What’s funny is constantly being told Wrexham are transfer big spenders when they are clearly not . They might be Hollywood but they have also made themselves probably the most disliked club outside the Premiership.
They have been big spenders every season up until now?
Not just on fees, but on bigger wages.
They went and spent £2m on Smith in Jan for example when L1 proved a step too far for Mullin, Palmer etc. Not Stansfield level admittedly but big for L1.
Think they've signed sensibly so far this summer though, and a lot harder to outspend clubs on parachute payments etc - genuinely think it'll be interesting how they do this season and what the reaction might be if they are just lower mid-table or something.

Also Josh windass put up 13 goals and five assists last season in the championship so I don't really see what's funny about getting those numbers on a free,the weird bashing of Wrexham is funny I can't stand the Hollywoodness about them but they are looking more solid with the signings they've made soo far with some proven players.

I personally don't dislike them for buying success, it's a time honoured tradition frankly and in fairness to them, they've done it pretty well, inasmuch as you'd struggle to say that any of the big expensive signings didn't work, if only temporarily.
I DO dislike them for doing all this and trying to perpetuate their myth as being some sort of plucky underdogs, which is bullshit. The amount of money they generate from sponsorship and advertising etc quite apart from having wealthy ownership means that they have much more money than most clubs at their level - only now are they competing on a relatively "equal" footing.

Not just on fees, but on bigger wages.
They went and spent £2m on Smith in Jan for example when L1 proved a step too far for Mullin, Palmer etc. Not Stansfield level admittedly but big for L1.
Think they've signed sensibly so far this summer though, and a lot harder to outspend clubs on parachute payments etc - genuinely think it'll be interesting how they do this season and what the reaction might be if they are just lower mid-table or something.
