Because they had to spend it on getting a structure in place and a foundation to build the club on and move forward after 12 years of neglect and assist strippingForeverAddickted said:Why couldn't the owners put this sort of money in place last season?
Would have made things a bit easier...

Still not seen anything to convince me Knibbs is signing for us0

When it’s on the OS, some saying Wrexham in for KnibbsValley11 said:Kelman and Knibbs. Wow.0 -
Kelman on his own feels too weak an option and not a great fit. But with Knibbs feels like a different, stronger proposition. Plus Kelman is yet to apologise to Stockport for that offside goal AFAIK.3

I agree.fenaddick said:
Don’t get me wrong I’m glad to see us backed but we lost £13.8m in the last accounts and we didn’t spend any significant fees. Obviously more Champ money etc but we’ll need to be very clever for the next 2 years, we will probably have to sell someone at some pointButtleJR said:
Think it works differently in the champ. Allowed to lose 13m a season or 39m over 3Valley11 said:Has Rodwell told the Americans about FFP?
However, by signing players like Kelman, Knibbs, Apter etc. then they should have a decent sell on figure. If you start buying players who are 31 or 32 then their sell on value in a couple of years time is a lot less.7 -

Is it time we looked at who Linda Knibbs is following?Belv said:

Knibbs is interesting in that although he often plays as an attacking midfielder he seems to be more like a hard working poacher than a typical attacking midfielder that offers flair and creativity. There’s a similarity with Berry there - while he’s comfortable on the ball, there are more technical tricky players around, he’s not a L1/Championship Claus Jensen or Andy Reid.4

Mr Burns I quite agree but on a more important (personal)note ..................MrBurns said:After we sold May and didn't sack Jones after the Crawley game I thought this SMT were clueless but I'm happily eating those words now.
Looking at your avatar I think I bumped into your long lost twin sister

Kelman and Knibbs scored 35 goals in League One combined last season. More than half our total goals - 69 (including playoffs).
