Think will be Tanto over leaburn personally but happy with either!!The Red Robin said:

Ahadme seems to be quite close to an exit, maybe not one who'd leave with much 'affection and gratitude' but it suggests to me that now we've done the bulk of our buying it's time to start selling off, sadly.jose said:There are surely some people due to leave pretty soon.
Maybe one or two we regard with affection and gratitude, maybe even a ‘shock’ departure to balance the books a bit.1 -
What a summer so far! Fair play to the owners for backing NJ. Knibbs in next please 🙏🏻13

These owners are at serious risk, when the season begins, of us only being able to moan about the portion size of the chips. If they sort that too were fucked!!Braziliance said:https://x.com/RFCLatest/status/1949379346637963538?t=42EfaO8Nu1sqP5rtXd9Q0g&s=19
Charlton have agreed a fee with Reading in the region of £1.8m to sign Harvey Knibbs.22 -
I agree. Although I didn’t dislike Ahadme because he was lazy or some kind of diva, simply think he isn’t much good. Definitely file in the Ajose box.thenewbie said:

I was literally just thinking what are we going to be able to moan about come September. The Prince-e-Paul said:

I think the toilets in the north upper are a bit shit3 -
No chance he starts against Watford. Hasn’t played a minute of pre-season yet. Hopefully get him fit enough for the bench and then start him against Stevenage to get his fitness up to match levelThe Red Robin said:

Spending Millions on players is a walk in the park compared to sorting out the food that is available in the fan zone, as my nine year old Grandson called it 'KACK'TheHerminator said:

Wow, fair enough can't really dispute the ownership's investment and backing of Jones at this stage. Really excited to see how it all comes together0

Whoever is doing the match preview for the Watford game is in for a hell of job trying to predict the team.3

They have, much criticism from a lot of supporters but the manager believes he can get the best out of him, so you have to trust him, pretty much like us. My Millwall mates are over the moon about the Chelsea full back they had on loan and have now signed on a permanent but they have concerns over an ageing back line.TelMc32 said:0 -
We’ve had the famine, now feast my friend. Feast!!!!Braziliance said:Early announcement.
Maybe time for another one later

I fully suspect there might be 1/2 surprise departures, there has to be right? Even potentially for the financial fair play rules to even out? How does that even work? It obviously increased for the championship but by how much exactly?
not trying to be negative, I’ve loved our business, for our standards over the last decade it has been a 10/10 window
we have easily spent 9/10m + on transfers so far?3 -

He was hugely overweight in the premier league and hardly played. Good in the championship until he wanted to move in January. Talented, yes .TeeC said:
Andy Reid was most certainly not crap. Wonderful footballer. Gets in pretty much any charlton team over the past 20 years.wmcf123 said:
They were all crap apart from Carson too, and yes I include the perennially unfit and overweight, albeit very talented Andy Reid in thatForeverAddickted said:
Didn't Curbs see Murray after that window, and jokingly complain that he never got given those sort of funds? The Red Robin said:
I will never understand giving Dowie more money in one summer than Curbs had had combined pretty much.Bedsaddick said:

Assuming we can ammortise the costs of the fees in the books, it's one of the reasons for such long contracts. Don't think we'll need to sell any important players. Ahadme to go, Kanu & Asiimwe to be loaned out with Dixon possibly going on loan too if the right club comes inmattinfinland said:I fully suspect there might be 1/2 surprise departures, there has to be right? Kelman - No chance as we wouldn't have spent the money.ForeverAddickted said:Given how Jones said we'd picked our targets regardless if we were a Championship or League One club next season... You have to wonder
(1) Who wouldn't have joined us had we not gone up, from the current group of signings.
(2) If we were spending this sort of money in League One next season, we'd surely have gone up.
Apter - same as above.
Kaminski - same as above, plus Mannion was fine for league 1.
Olaofe - maybe could've got him but if there were Championship clubs interested then i doubt it.
JRC - probably wouldn't have dropped down a league.
Carey - i think he was a done deal regardless of the division.
Bell/Burke - may well have signed regardless because of the connection with Jones.8 -
Tbf Diawara was a good player and deserved more recognition than he got.MarcusH26 said:

And £4m back then was decent money tooBedsaddick said:

Diawara was actually good and went on to have a good career afterwards. Not his fault that £3.5m for us back then was a very very significant fee.golfaddick said:

If they don’t stop signing more players like they have been it’ll probably be people moaning that if they had known It was going to be this difficult to get match tickets they would have bought a season ticket…TheHerminator said:
