Thank god Bumrah isn’t playing. Facing him on this pitch would be a nightmare.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised if India are batting again by 5pm!
Completely mad but apparently Bumrah and Tongue have the same number of wickets this series!

I agree. We should go back to earlier times when Compton, Jardine & Gower wouldn't bother running & let the ball go for 4.

Here @golfaddick. Seems like you need a slight refresher:

    https://therulesofcricket.co.uk/the_rules_of_cricket/the_rules_of_cricket_law_2.htm

PS. I hope you don't deal with the small print for your clients portfolio in the same manner!

Thats great then. Clears it up. You are allowed a substitute. Only it's at the discretion of the umpire. And the captain can appeal.

So either the umpires are favouring one side over the other if they don't allow the same. Plant's "sub" as allowed to take his place behind the wicket, so Woakes' sub is allowed to take his place at his bowling mark.

To make it even more uneven the umpires allowed Pant to bat & his sub to take wicket. Why didnt the sub bat instead of Pant ?

    Crazy rules.

And India's only win was when Bumrah wasn't playing. He's clearly rubbish  :D

It's such a bizarre stat that. Can only think the other bowlers feel a sense of pressure playing alongside him.

Gill is quite weak when it comes to being bullied by bowlers into making reviews.

Exactly! Karma that he got injured further in the 4th test

One set of rules for India and one for the rest. But at least they can't win the series - that would take a remarkable change in the rules for that to happen!

Broad a breath of fresh air in comms, really starting to come into his own - some great observations on the bowling and on strategy to bowl to duckett coming down the wicket.

Been a few times where especially England bowlers bowl a jaffer and atherton sounds completely unmoved, not even mentioning it as a good ball or rather “a good leave” if that.

Think Deep will be losing some of his match fee there

Is there a more unlikeable group of bowlers than this India attack? Completely unnecessary send off. Imagine doing that to some one like Hayden back in the day.

The lack of self awareness to be a t**t when you've managed to get a first wicket after being hit for nearly 40 off 6 overs.

Is this entire India side just full of dislikeable delusional players that think they're a lot better than they actually are because they're treated as untouchable gods at home?

Even with Bumrah their seam attack is probably 6th best in the world I reckon.

Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa & West Indies all much better all round attacks.

Indian cricketers have always been treated like Gods at home.
    These lot are just different.
    They're complete wankers.

Gutted for Woakes, but it does mean the selectors won't have a tough decision to make.

Yeah kohli kind of transformed their culture, everyone put up with it because kohli was the best Indian player of his generation, and one of the best in the world. Now they’re all just a group of dicks.

Minus bumrah this India attack is a bit pony. Can’t seem to take 10 wickets let alone 20.

I'm sure that Lee Fortis will shed a tear for Gamhir if and when he gets sacked for losing three Test Series on the bounce and only winning 2/13 matches in the process.

Prasidh with some ridiculous sledging, then going for four next ball. Another unpleasant idiot

They will take one bowler of his ilk I'm sure which is why it is so disappointing to see that they didn't pick Cook for this Test. He's another one that we've played lip service to, possibly the same will be for Dawson, but are not going to give a decent chance to just in case they prove this regime wrong. Not every single player has to come from left field.

Really harsh to have him in the squad all summer, then not pick him.

Also odd that Potts is on a central contract, yet been completely ignored.
