I thought Ozark was great. Was sad there wasn't some kind of escape attempt - would have made for a good 5th season.

What have folks made of the first two episodes of Destination X? Think it’s a bit non sensical and they have tried to make it more complicated than it needs to be.

I thought within seconds it looked shite and decided I was right after 10 minutes and bailed.

    Watched 2 episodes, pretty bad.

I don't why they have a load of clues where they are, then drive a few hundreds of miles with no other clues and then guess?

Is it just the country?  But then they could then all guess right and who goes?

And feels like if it's just the country it's way too easy to guess.

Have started the new Mark Gatis series on Alibi. Bookish.

Basically seems to be Gatis acting out the life he’d like to actually lead! Murder mystery. Pretty good so far.

I saw adverts and thought it was naff. Girlfriend then wanted to watch it and I reluctantly agreed, tbh think I was confused on the concept all the way through but found the games a bit stupid, and the contestants annoying - just seemed like a bunch of people desperate to be famous. Found it a bit cringey frankly.

    Enjoying The Assassin atm.
Not so hot for me due to the gratuitous violence, but also weird having 'The Good Doctor' sort of playing himself.

I quite liked the first episode but the next two were a bit meandering. Not sure if I'm going to bother with the rest.

Watching the Built in Birmingham documentary. Does Tom Brady realise how badly he comes across in this?
Glad I'm not the only one.  Think he comes across as an arrogant knob

Yeah, I'm not too convinced after watching the second. Good doctor and the Aussie son/brother are pretty unconvincing in their roles.

I'd watch Keeley Hawes reading from a telephone directory, but this is so generic Amazon Prime it almost feels like a parody.

Just finished the first series of Rake on Channel 4. It's an Australian series and over 10 years old, about a fairly sleazy solicitor who does have some redeming qualities. It's quite easy TV and I'm enjoying it.

    Great find Mr ThreadKiller!!

I started watching these years ago - (can’t remember what platform), but they got pulled. I only got as far as season 2, and then never managed to find them again. I’m going to re-start at the beginning now, if only to re-watch that Sam Neill episode again!! Hazaaaar!

Just finished the trilogy. Fantastic cast and although I'd watched them a few years ago, really enjoyed watching them again.

Paddy Considine one of my favourite actors - don't think I've seen him in anything that hasn't been very good.

Watched them again last week, fantastic tv. I remember, when it was first released, it was one of the first things I’d ever seen Andrew Garfield in. Very easy to see why he’s done so well for himself.

Yes we did too, missed the first season so will be watching that on catch up 👍🏻
  • Just finished 1923 after (i think seeing recommendations on here). Some properly outlandish scenes and coincidences but thought it was brilliant overall. Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford doing what they do. My partner was particularly taken with Spencer.......

3 episodes into the second series of Wednesday.

Just started to get going. Very silly but so easy to watch and my daughter loves it.

New South Park season is incredibly childish/offensive but making some waves over in the US with its portrayal of Donald Trump as a Saddam Hussein knock-off.

Destination X. Pick the box marked Amsterdam and from the six items inside put on top of the box the two items you wouldn’t associate with Amsterdam. Tulips and Clogs? Really. There are some incredibly stupid people about.

Is it as unrelentingly harrowing as 1883? I genuinely felt depressed after pretty much every episode in that series!

Guilty pleasure for me. Really liked the first series and the second has been equally good so far.

    No. 1923 isn’t as harrowing as 1883.
There are three stories being told simultaneously with very different vibes.
    Season one wasn’t bad.
Season two turned into the biggest steaming turd of a programme by the end. Utterly shit.

If you want to see my previous ramblings on this programme, it’s on page 392 of this thread.
I have talked about plotlines, but those comments are hidden behind a spoiler button, so you’re safe to read! (Although, I would argue you should read the spoiler and save yourself the time of watching the big pile of bollocks) 😎

    Didnt watch the first season.

Watched this and found it to be an over convoluted bore.
