Still can’t get used to the club being run properly.

I was buggered if I could see all the hype about the big screen being bigger and better ... Quite relieved to hear it's yet to be done.

big screen sounds like it's going to fill the gap between the East/South - much bigger

When we played Wimbledon away (Innes) I don’t know what it was like for TV viewers, but the low level electronic advertising stuff made the game very hard to follow. Stuff got washed out, or obscured.
There has been some of that at the Valley recently, but I sit higher up so it is a bit less of a problem, but not zero.

I guess it depends on how bright the floodlights are. If they're not that bright, then the advertising boards stand out too much.

    Where is this confirmed?

They confirmed it to a fan on social media, they said they couldn't make the logistics of travelling to London for games work

More space for the FEEEESSSSH to swim - about time they were recognised for their loyalty to the club.

Liking the idea of putting more black around the ground to compliment the red. All looked good on the video.

Some really good partnerships as well there, much more beneficial, not like shitty crypto firms.

Love the changes just hope they’ve improved the service and beer quality inside the ground

It sounds good, it’s a shame that it will probably stop a view of the pitch from the memorial garden. I’ve always liked that you can catch a glimpse of the pitch from it.

I am sure the residents won't be complaining...

They'll have a grandstand seat from upstairs.  2 nil Charlton.

Appreciate the effort, but I think the black stairwells are a big mistake. It sounds weird, but I always appreciated the light colour they were before. They were just right. I think the black will now draw out the fact that the ceiling of the covered stands is a weathered light colour (and they sure as hell won't paint the ceiling and all that steel). As a result, it won't pull together top to bottom and it's out of balance. This shouldn't really bother me as much as it should, obviously, but it does! This doesn't look like the Valley to me.

These pics have been like a stripper continually lowering her lingerie just past her shoulder, according to my friend.

That looks jank!  Never thought I'd diss any part of The Valley.  Even loved the pot holes...

Not a fan of the black colouring for the entrance, it makes it feel a little dim. Why did they change it?

I didn’t understand the comment in the video about moving to “Red and Black”, why do we need anything black when we play in Red and White

I think it's because of the badge being mainly red and black (sword and lettering aside), a lot of the other branding has taken on those colours

Black will last a lot longer, which is fine with me.

I also think it'll be a q nice little effect walking up the black walkways and then seeing the green of the hallowed valley turf (I mean the pitch)

Well our club colours are red, white and black. There's black on the badge, there's black on quite a lot of the kits, the women's kits are red and black as opposed to red and white, and the black makes things in colour stand out more, so the signage has a clearer background to stand out against.

Plus if you paint all those areas white, they'll be incredibly dirty by the end of the season, p'raps sooner, so it won't look as good

It's not a change I would have thought of doing, but I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person.

I like it! With our new LED lights, which are likely to be very bright, these three colours will look great (with the usual IMO disclaimer).

Was it Count Dutchela, wanting more black to match his crypt at home?

It does, IHMO, look better in the flesh than in that pic above.

Lot of work going on and still a lot to do.  Have a good look tomorrow.

Agree. Gives it a more modern fresh feel.
