Am I off the mark thinking Ramsey’s potential can’t be far short, if at all, of what Gomez was showing at the same stage in his career.
Unfortunately I don’t think we will have him for the rest of his contract in fact another 2 performances like today in August I will be surprised if offers don’t come in the bloke is sheer class

Kelman and Carey were perhaps a bit quiet

If that was Carey being "quiet", I look forward to watching him when he is fully active. I thought he ran his socks off and gave them all sorts of problems.

Just the opposite of Kelman. A poster above (sorry, forgot who) rightly said that Kelman tied up two defenders. They were probably assigned to him on the strength of his reputation. That will cease if someone else is scoring our goals and he ain't.

    gutting for the cameraman
Did I miss something as to why they were so obsessed with him? They even missed our chance when TC crossed the ball right across the goal.
    Who is he?
    The cameraman's boyfriend?

Great photo from whoever took this, would love to see the original without all the BBC branding.

Will never get tired of seeing Redbus kits on show, beautiful.

Gave my away top to my Aussie cousin to hang on his bar wall, wish I'd kept it

Doc does a lot of unsung work. All the players I know really rate him. Boring to watch but see what happens if he isn’t there All teams need one like him
Don’t agree - he runs around but doesn’t affect the game a lot .  Great guy, good to have around but one I’d replace - we need more quality in there
My work is done with Berry. He is a forgotten man. Now I have set the pitchfork and flaming torches mob onto Docherty.

Soon the team will be as I want it and I can conquer the league.

I think that’s the least of his worries while he reaches in to Ramsay’s body, who is now our number 9.

Well got back home at 8.45 pm just over 15 hours after leaving early this morning but absolutely worth it. A massive 3 points as I don’t think we can expect much from the next couple of games but who knows with this squad !

not wishing to sound negative after a great day but ………

Kaminski worries me. With our defence being so good I can see teams sending balls into the box rather than trying to play through us and he seems to dislike coming to claim the ball which I personally like a keeper to do

Tanto needs to start and TC be the sub replacement after 70 mins

Unfortunately Doc can’t keep his place ahead of the midfielders on the bench regardless of captaincy

Fair play to the Watford Manager, doesnt have a bitch and whinge about the penalty they should have had, I know we should have had at least one ourselves, but wouldn't have blamed him, had he brought it up

Reaction: Pezzolano On Charlton - Watford FC
He did say that he wants a more comfortable crate to sit on next week though

    That's a pretty good crowd.

But makes you realise how hard it will be to compete in this League when you see that only 2 teams - Oxford & QPR - had a smaller attendance today.

Given this is me meeting my abosolute favourite Charlton player of all time and one of the greatest moments of my life, following a great Charlton win I wished I looked a lot happier!

I had the privilege to travel back with Morts on the train back to London
Such a lovely guy and in his day a wonderful player

He went to the dugout and not the tunnel, which to me is a good sign that it's nothing serious

Glad to be back in the Covered End. Can't beat the West side view, but being behind the goal when a late winner goes in is special.

Superb performance today. Our fitness wins through again. We dominated the last 10 minutes and Watford couldn't deal with the energy. Great debuts for practically everyone. Love the look of The Raptor and Carey. Subs made a great impact. Doch was terrible but at least we have options now.

Watford were a big team. Coventry looked like a kid trying to wrestle Sissoko! I thought they looked like a good side.

Felt a real buzz walking down Harvey Gardens before the game. So nice to be back in the Champ.

Like everyone else, absolutely glowing after that.

Everyone's covered pretty much everything, except for the one thing that gave me a pang of disappointment. The attendance. After all the noise from the club during the midweek, I was expecting 23k maybe 24k. As was Brownie, btw, and he's part of the club.

There were less Charlton fans there today than for the Burton game.

I remember @Airman Brown would mention that opening fixtures suffer a bit from people being on holiday. But it was a bit of an anti-climatic note to hear at the end of a great day in every other way.

Not sure what we can do about it, other than spread the word.

No. My view is the summer holiday thing is a myth. Weather, lack of previous games and school holidays more than offset people who are away.

PWR but just want to tell you all how much I love Josh Edwards. Hopefully just a little knock and he’ll be good for next weekend. Best left back since Rhoys Wiggins and I would have his babies if I could
If you truly loved him you’d find a way

The more you zoom in on that, the more disturbing it gets. It’s like an Aphex Twin video.

    Great win btw. COYR!
