Still can’t win four in a row.

  • Jynx thread.
  • We can win the play offs without needing to score a single goal.
    That's the spirit 🙄
So, it’s important to keep clean sheets.
Most definitely. But in a normal League campaign it is also important to score goals......especially more than your opponents.

I'd take no clean sheets if the 46 league games all ended  2-1.
  • That would be only 69 points which would not be good at all

Was happy enough with a draw but a 1-0 lead would've been perfect.
Not really because it would've been something to defend on Thursday, more that it would've drawn Wycombe out a bit.
I've seen enough of this Wycombe manager now to think he'll probably take a penalty shoot out than over commit and go for a win.
So my fear is more of what we got served up last night. :-(
  • Yeah. I don't see Wycombe doing things any different Thursday. Defend, break up pkay, and the odd sly kick on the achilles every once in a while. We need to get goals to make them play football judging by last night. But their away record this season is very good, so it obviously works.
    Gonna be nervy.

Crowd needs to get onto the ref loud and early. Would like to see a few of our players get in his ear more too. If Wycombe try to rough us up again we need to encourage the ref to punish them for it.
  • When was the last time we won 4 in a row? That Bow promotion season or have we done it since then?

It’s in the first post of this thread!
  • Win over Stevenage means that we've just won four in a row for the first time since '21... albeit over two seasons

    But... Wycombe (H) - Orient (N) - Watford (H) - Stevenage (H)
TBF, Wembley is usually a home ground when we are there…

    Yay!

When I was putting this together I only checked league games to make life easy for myself
  • Unbeaten in 18 at the Valley (I think!) is pretty impressive too.

Even better - 19 I believe. 15 wins, 4 draws and those 15 victories have come in our last 17 matches.

Getting desperate you have to count a Cup competition against a lower league side.

Bit harsh to talk about Wycombe and Orient in that fashion.

  • They win 5 in a row.
Thought they'd resigned Marouane Fellaini for a minute then
