It's amazing isn't it, when you have two motivated and organised businesses who are passionate about their product and getting it out there to their customers, who in turn are only too willing to pay for it. Well done to Larry and Alex for hanging in there and fighting the fight.
I've always found it funny how the "customer experience" at lower league/smaller grounds is generally so much better than at our place. Yes, it's a smaller operation and so less to go wrong, but this stuff isn't rocket science - sell people what they want at a reasonable price.
Bigger clubs/venues also generally seem to get it about right, albeit at a less personal (and probably more expensive) level, but we've always seemed caught in some sort of permanent death loop in the middle where we're too big to run it all in-house, but not big enough for any outsourcer to really give a shit about us once the contract is signed.
It's just a shame (for me) that I don't drink coffee or cocktails!9 -

Doesn't seem worth it's own thread to ask but ...
We were most disappointed when arriving early for the Watford game to walk all the way to The River and find that they weren't opening early for a 12:30 kick off ☹️ Anyone know if they plan to change this? With the amount of 12:30 starts we have they are missing out on quite a bit of cash I would have thought.
I've also wondered why/if they haven't sought permission for a few benches outside in the summer in a fenced off area like a lot of bars and cafes. Sitting inside isn't great when it's rammed and 25c+0 - Sponsored links:

I think Trevor is hoping to open at 10 this Saturday with food available from the cafe across the road. No license to open early for Watford game.0

I love the River Ale House but can't go in summer. It is roasting.1
