No rumours but I really hope Rylah and Casey get loans. I think it will do both good.M'bick, Enslin, Mwamba could probably do with a year around our first team whilst playing regular U21 minutes and go out next year depending on their progress.I would like to see us bring in another CB and send Z Mitchell out to a good L1 team but doubt it will happen. Not sure on Gough and Laquretabua.Fullah should get minutes in the first team.5

Whatever happened to Casey had interest from Celtic and Brighton was meant to be our next big talent and seemed to fallen off a cliff0

JRS was at Wembley celebrating with our team. Never say never. Would love him to be the YK magic, wherever he fits.9

falling off a cliff would explain his injury problemsCrispywood said:Whatever happened to Casey had interest from Celtic and Brighton was meant to be our next big talent and seemed to fallen off a cliff24 -

Very early in the window was told fairly reliably that he’s one we were hoping to get but it was always unlikely. Can’t see him getting any games at palace so unless he goes somewhere on a perm they must be sending him out on loan.ShootersHillGuru said:Is there a real link to JRS or is it just some posters fanaticising about an unlikely return ?5 -
Who’s to say they haven’t?MarcusH26 said:Surprised Sheffield Wednesday haven't tried to emergency sign AMB. Sounds like they're signing Ethan Horvath from Cardiff instead.0 -

Were would JRS even fit in though if we did make a last minute move for him. Problem with the TC role is that you’re forcing him to play wide left/through the middle which sort of limits him of his best attributes of cutting in on his right foot. Stats at Sheffield united suggests he’s worked a lot on his defensive side of the game and think he would be a perfect alternative to Apter at the RWB/RW role and obviously squad depth is important but Apter feels like a player we really shouldn’t be limiting minutes especially for a loan signing0

Z.Mitchell to go out on loan & two players to come in before the window slams shut.CB & WB3

It's been mentioned before that his club are having the best season in their history and have a chance to win their first ever league title. They probably feel he's worth more to them keeping him to try and win the league and get into the Asian Champions league.wolfgang said:It is obvious who we are going for: Shinnosuke Fukuda. The final piece to complete the jigsaw. Charlton and Kyoto Sanga are in a staring-down match to see who cracks first. If Kyoto do not sell him before his contract expires they will lose a large fee (maybe 550,000 dollars). Our good start to the season should convince Fukuda he would not be joining relegation fodder.1 -

Weird then that they allowed their captain to move to Mainz on loan with a view to a permanent deal. Game in hand on the three above them, win that and they go top. Season ends the day we play Pompey. Would give Fukuda a month’s break before joining in the January window.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Don’t think he will while we are in the league cup cause we are running out of players to field a different 11 in that comp …Scoham said:

The situations are different though. Kawasaki who went to Mainz is under contract until 2028, so if it doesn't work out at Mainz they get him back. Fukuda is out of contract so would be gone, and if the loan doesn't work out and we don't take up the option to buy him they've lost the chance of a fee and lost the player.TelMc32 said:

Fukuda has also captained them but there's clearly a reason why they rejected our loan offer and accepted one for the guy who went to Mainz. Perhaps the Mainz guy was more easily replaceable? They haven't lost in the league since he left and he was sold 7 weeks ago.
Kyoto haven't said they won't sell Fukuda, just that they'll only sell him for the price they want.3 -

Perhaps the player is also relishing this seasons “success “ and doesn’t want out at this point ?Chris_from_Sidcup said:

I’ve been thinking this, can’t really knock him if he wants to finish the job in JapanShootersHillGuru said:

It’s probably tricky for both the player and his club. Flying this season but I suspect the player would love to get into playing in England and his club won’t want him walking for nothing. Charlton and others (?) might not want to meet his release clause when potentially he could be picked up in a few months for nothing. Looking to me like there are just too many obstacles in the way of this one unless Charlton are prepared to pay that release clause fee which is I think £800k ?AberystwythAddick said:

I think it's very high risk settling a Japanese player into our squad without any support infrastructure. If he was Jamaican he will have a ready built network. If we do it we should get in half a dozen.5

I watched highlights of the game he scored in. The quality of defending in general looked comical. NJ and PC must’ve seen something different in him.0

If one of apter or tc get injured we may be in a situation like last year if one of tc or small got injured - too easy to stop - arguably tanto and Leaburn have pace but their game isn’t really about getting the ball to feet and going past players and creating for others - jrs would be a real statement signing and give us ammunition in depth but esse or whatever his name is leaving palace probably isn’t going to helpcafc_harry said:

From the way Cawley spoke about moves like this I think it’s unlikely the player doesn’t want to move. Cawley suggested the player instructs an agent to find him a European club to move to, with a view to playing in the World Cup. I think the two most likely scenarios are 1) The club doesn’t want to lose him before winning the league and 2) he’s holding out for a top division club somewhere else (Germany?) or a more established Championship clubShootersHillGuru said:

If the whole point is to PLAY regularly in Europe, then he'll need to go somewhere where he'll mainly be a starter, not a backup player to Apter.fenaddick said:

I think the first key to surviving (and hopefully thriving) in the Championship is player quality. The second is squad depth – and that’s not something we’ve been used to in League One. The last couple of times we were up here (under Bowyer, then Peeters/Luzon), the starting XI was fine, but once injuries hit, we were paper thin.
The Championship is a proper squad game. You can change half your outfield players from a bench of nine, and at the moment we’re actually able to bring on players who are as good as, or sometimes better than, the ones they’re replacing – players like Tanto and Knibbs. The problem comes once the injuries kick in, because then that option disappears. JRS would get minutes, and I’m sure NJ would be pushing hard for a bit of extra spend if the chance came up to sign him.
