Roll on winter. 20 to 8 on a Sunday night and I've got to listen to the neighbour hoovering their car.
My reading glasses. Good job I'm getting a new prescription next week, as I read that as "hoovering their cat" first time round. Which I agree the noise from said efforts would have been incredibly annoying.
Car insurance what a con, it’s renewal time. I done 4020 miles last year, renewal comes in 25% up, so thought I go and have a look around the the comparison website, and found that the vast majority on the comparison website were cheaper one was 40% cheaper than my quote, got annoyed and went to stop the automatic renewal of my old policy, noticed a button that said if your not happy with the renewal price I pressed it the rotten gits dropped the renewal cost by just over 20%, I cancelled the automatic renewal and went with a cheaper option. Stupid thing was if they had quoted the revised price first then I would have gone with it as it was cheaper than last year and I wouldn’t have looked at any comparison websites.

Its a bastard
Car insurance are the main culprits but sky are just as bad. It preys on apathy.
Every year me and whoever I'm paying an insurance premium to, have to do this stupid dance and they knock a few quid off even though I haven't made a claim for 20 years. Or they give it a load of Barry about them giving me their best price so off I fuck to someone else
For the sake of making contact with them or Sky for example its worth doing, loads of people don't and they are just margin-inflating fleshbots to companies like that
First thing I do with Insurance is cancel the auto renew. Problem is many firms make it as difficult as possible to do this, but it's worth persisting with, they are all crooks and shysters.
I thought that there was legislation coming in saying you couldn't quote new and existing customers different rates?
My car insurance came through in the shape of an email, try as I might I couldn’t see the renewal price. Obviously I wasn’t going to let it automatically renew without knowing what that was so as the date neared I phoned them up. After all the normal process they got to the price and my insurance had gone down by £60!
Same car, same address, same everything. I asked the woman to check everything was in order and the same as before and she hadn’t made a mistake as the only time my car insurance lowered in my lifetime was when I moved from London to Kent, All in order and my fully comp insurance had gone from £220 to £160 on a 2L BMW tourer. 🤷♂️

Their thinking is that once you get to 80, you won't doing the mileage you used to mate.

Over 4K in 8 years I’ll have you know, so a bit of respect wouldn’t go a miss young man. 😉 Even our local garage has a giggle when it goes in for a mot!

Never have automatic renewal on any insurance. I renegotiate every insurance policy when due and always get it cheaper

So do I normally but you couldn’t agree to purchase the insurance policy without signing up for automatic renewal, my mistake was to forget to cancel the automatic renewal as I was on holiday.
Fed up with all the Driving Schools with instructors who take their students into Supermarket car parks to learn how to park! I appreciate that people have to learn but sometimes there are 5 or 6 learners slowing parking or pulling at a snail's pace. When I learned (admittedly a long time ago) we used quiet side streets. They must still exist!

Breaking down or it being too early for the Hackney carriage or Jalsha to open? 🤣
