Not specifically related to this but I noticed a huge queue for ticket collections. Not sure why. However, I suspect, many of these are either new supporters or the don't come very often type ie just the sort we should be trying to encourage to boost attendances regularly. Therefore we should be making it easy as possible
When we arrived at 11:45 yesterday there were noticeably more people around, walking from the station and outside the ground. However, the AC stand turnstiles were virtually empty.
It seems that all the investment around the ground hasn't extended to getting all the turnstiles working. Ridiculous queues before the game.
Yep. Four not working. I didn’t go through my lucky turnstile, hence why we lost.
Nice to see the maintenance department have put signs in the toilets saying if you find a maintenance issue please report it to the nearest steward. Time to put up these signs but not actually attend to a maintenance issue currently into its fourth season, no lock on trap three in the bogs. Ironic really.
Did you report the issue?
Also, why do you keep going into the same cubicle if you know the lock wasn't working the last time you went in?
Well we don’t half like a moan don’t we? Maybe we should be commenting on how nice it is to be in a queue with the rise in attendances for once!
If you know you reach a busy pinch point in your work commute what do you do? Do you complain to someone or do you leave 15 minutes earlier next time? Jesus!
What a strange view point you have.🤔
Ok well how about I put it this way….I am 12 days into a stay at Gt Ormond St whilst my one year old son is on IV antibiotics.
After being confined to a small space for that period of time, I was absolutely delighted to find myself queuing amongst fellow fans to get into a stadium to watch my beloved team play at my second home. Whilst others were clearly moaning about standing around, my dad and I were buzzing in anticipation as it was clearly a decent crowd.
I am adamant us Charlton fans have the ability to moan about absolutely everything even when we are in a position better than what we have found ourselves in for over 15 years….
I can absolutely understand the point made above that an increase in attendances should mean an extra increase in vigilance around turnstiles, catering etc….however maybe just learn from an experience and get to the Millwall game slightly earlier than usual.
What some of you lot would have done before the days of social media and internet is beyond me, your wives must have no ears left, that’s for sure.
Now you was never to know this but do you still find it a strange point of view?

I got there just before 11.55 and was surprised that there were already hefty queues for the AC Stand. Don’t mind queuing but if there are that many people (hundreds) backing up 35 minutes before kick-off it was only going to get worse.
There were, however, six turnstiles out of nine open. I know because once through I had to wait for someone else, so I stood and watched what was going on.

Yes. I am of course sorry to hear the circumstances surrounding your son and I am sure I speak for everyone on CL in the heartfelt hope that all will turn out well for the little fella.

I have reported it to the club a number of times and most recently to the FLO. On Saturday as requested I reported it to the nearest steward. I do not use that cubicle but you can see from the outside that the lock is still broken. A minor issue granted but one that is easy and cheap to rectify.
