Norwich City midfielder Marcelino Nunez is set to make a shock move from the Canaries to bitter rivals Ipswich Town. A deal worth £10m is expected to be completed with Norwich selling as the Chilean is in the final 12 months of his contract.
Nunez underwent a medical on Wednesday night and could be unveiled before Ipswich's Championship fixture against Derby on Saturday.
It represents the first major transfer between the East Anglian clubs since goalkeeper Andy Marshall made the same switch in 2001.

I see Largie Ramazani has moved on loan from Leeds to Valencia. Hasn't really had a settled run anywhere since leaving us.2

https://x.com/danielmarsh92/status/1958580401309450248?s=46&t=A-w3Eq0EWWpjMxring904QWould be absolutely gutted if Ivanovic went but I just can’t see it. We have him on a recently signed 3 year contract and have no reason to sell.Ivanovic going no where according to his uncle on twitter.Alfie will be back , but in the meantime we’ve got good cover for that position.Delightful indeed 😊
Football fees are ridiculous right now, and i wonder how long it will be before we see the next club crashing and burning due to financial issues. It definitely won't be you though, Flemming, Esse and Tanganga must be 30m in incomings over the past year now?A lot of people were taking the piss out of us for having such a low buy out clause with Tanganga, but having that clause was the only way he would’ve signed in the first place and as it happens, that was only for PL clubs. None of who showed an interest, so really worked in our favour in the end. And a very low risk gamble for us as we signed him on a free anyway. It was a no brainer really. And yes about 30 million for those three players. Ivanovic will be worth at least half that himself at the end of this season. It’s good because the money is always being reinvested in the team where as in the past when we sold one of our star players the money would just get lost in the running costs of the club.
Is it £10m though ... it's what I'd read (£6-£7m)
You make it sound as though Millwall are Brentford or Brighton, when in effect you've sold one academy player and scouted one player for Europe, it's hardly a tried and trusted player investment model. It might be good for the bank balance but it also won't help you progress up the league. Lets see on Ivanovic he's literally had half a good season.
Alfie will always been injured he gets a major injury every season
I'm still not clear why we have a Millwall fan on our forum anyway.13 -

Easily worth that IMO. Very good defender with the physical attributes needed for Championship/higher and youth on his side. Would have loved to see him here.3 -

I saw rumours online yesterday of Ivanovic to Leicester?
Caleb Taylor I though was a good signing, he was superb in L1 but didn't realise he'd played so few games in the Champ will be interesting to see how he copes.
There's been Premier League levels of money thrown around this week by Ipswich, Southampton, Boro and more to come like Swansea £7m on Idah. Silly season has arrived1 - Sponsored links:

Obviously the Woltemade, Jackson & Simons transfers are from some of the world’s biggest clubs so not really comparable to the fees being spent mid table and below.
but when you have Champ teams spending £10-£15m it’s shows what a tough task we have when this eclipses our entire spending (which we’ve all been delighted at) the level of spending in the Champ feels like it’s jumped again.2 -
It’s where the parachute payments are a joke and just allows the Championship to become this way as it makes other clubs without those payments feel like they have to spend money they shouldn’t really be doing just to compete at the top.
You shouldn’t have 2 Championship clubs spend over £100mil between them in any window, ever, but you do and you’ll get that this summer.
Our business has been good, but we’ve bought the better players from League One who we hope are young enough, hungry enough, and ultimately good enough to do it at this level. We just cannot compete with the spending of other clubs.4 -
Also, around a third of all signings now are from abroad. That’s crazy numbers. We also might need to start looking further afield for talent as the bigger our network, the better scope we have for finding players cheaper than we will here.
Fukuda looks like a prime example, hopefully that’s something we can do before long.6 -

It'll be interesting to see the final net transfer spend numbers after Monday. We were early movers, but there has been a lot of business since the season started.1 -
Ipswich have probably brought in £65-70m from Delap and Hutchinson. But it does feel like a crazy league transfer wise0

I’ve been saying all summer I want us too look abroad. I am just note seeing the talent in L1 & L2 all of that talent and potential seems to have been swept up. I can’t see the next obvious next stars to step up.
Getting relegated from the Prem is now basically a business strategy for long term growth, you go up buy up the potential talent that the big clubs don’t risk.
You then go down with the parachute payments stronger than before and sell on that talent one year later for massive profit.
It’s almost that you have to go up and down two or three times now in order to be able to then stay up.0 -
