Officially collapsed. Gutted. Would have been such an upgrade on our ineffective frontline1

Maybe Chelsea had bigger deals they prioritised and only let us know at 18.59, giving us 60 seconds to complete and send a form? Who knows. Just because something doesn't happen in time, doesn't make it a Charlton employees fault.2 -
Presumably (Hopefully) we weren’t looking too much into STs until we were offered Fofana - which ideally means we’re happy either way.
unless there’s any free agents?
EDIT: wouldn’t say no to Patrick Bamford or kelechi iheanacho0 -
Connor Wickham anyone?9

Please don’t automatically pile blame on anyone at Charlton. I genuinely don’t think we had as much time to get this done as everyone thinks. Also wouldn’t doubt for a second that Chelsea drug their feet3
-
Also don’t let this tarnish our window8

What will the player do now, must be quite disappointing for them2

Back to back windows where the paperwork didn’t get done in time. Looks a bit amateurish.8

The way it's worded is ambiguous, we could have got the sheet in, in time but not work out the details with Chelsea (remember they like loan fees and guarantees on games played etc ) too early to say it was our cock up IMO2
-
I don't believe it. I don't think he was ever coming.2

From the January 2025 window:https://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/the-sunderland-transfer-deal-that-fell-through-and-the-one-still-to-be-announced-4973668
I don’t know where the blame lies with that transfer, but while I’m more disappointed Fofana didn’t go through, it does appear that there was an incredible amount of late wheeling and dealing across football today, with many deals being announced late0 -
Not sure this leaves our current crop of attackers with a show of confidence1
-
Disappointed with that, fofana would've been quality in the championship8

After the Leicester and QPR result would have thought we'd get an exciting deal/loan in attacking wise hopefully the squad step up and there are atleast 3 teams worse than us come January as an injury or two in key places and I'm struggling to see how we really replace someone like apter or Coventry etc with the required quality, the center of midfield and attack imo still isn't looking great no one up front has stood out with championship quality and looking at the window others have really gone for it but I'm happy to be proved wrong and will turn up every game in hope.0

Fofana was never coming to Charlton, it was just a way to get another 1% effort and accuracy out of the current goal machines.1 -
Strange one this no real comment from Charlton it seems to be all Chelsea and his agent , not sure it was ever a goer from our end … especially when Bree deal was done NJ said that was it ,… personally we have the strikers , the most important deal was a RWB and we got a real quality one …. Excellent window for the club now NJ can get to work on what already been a very good start to the season .. now time to take the next step

A big positive is that Blackburn seem to have had a bit of a mare this window, lost a few key players and haven’t started the season well. Could see them being down the bottom, another team I think we can definitely finish above0

Even if you did get treated like that by someone you work with, you'd have the option of going to HR to make it stop.
Also if you're underperforming in a normal job, a good Manager will find out why... See what the reason might be, and if anything outside work is effecting you from being able to work properly, and if there are issues... Then yes, you might get pity and support.
