Based on that I think we'll be fairly close to a sell out with nearly two weeks to the game. I reckon 24k+ and reasonable chance of a sell out, or very close to it.2 -

If only we’d won the cup game and had a bit of momentum amongst fans building up to this to boost sales😉
Ah well at least everyone will be rested ahead of the game.3 -
It will be same as Watford / Leicester, 21.5-22.51

Millwall’s ground capacity is 20,146, their average home attendance looks like it was 15,490 last season. Early days but by getting promoted we are already getting gates 6k higher than that average and 2k more than their ground holds.

This will land on about 21k - 22k. The previous home games also had big marketing pushes on how weve hit over 20k only for the final attendance to be slightly more than that.0

Plenty of tickets left in the blocks next to Millwall fans!
Club can market these as day out at the zoo to see animals from south london an opportunity to see close up a rare sighting of aging bushwacker & F troop apes from New Cross....
Imagine crowd will be 22-24K?12 -
The only drag is that having been on the receiving end of violence from Millwall fans in the past (the only other time was ironically Luton fans) I will avoid the train and seek a different journey to and from the Valley.
The attendance number isn’t an issue for me, the only issue is trying to get a point or three from the match.0 -
can you still buy tickets?

On a long car journey last week so had a look at tickets left on sale (yes my life is very dull) and it was under 5k with all blocks open so was surprised to see the 20k mark only hit yesterday. Is a sell out no longer 27k or is the 20k sold missing 1000+ through friends family and freebies?0

There’s no way we would be “advertising” 20k sold if it was 22k sold.0 -
I remember going to the Den in early 80's to see Charlton in a "friendly" and standing in home end by F Troop with there surgical masks. When i lived in New Cross I drove as you could park in the car park behind the away end in old Den. For this season's Away fixture i'll go via train and do the long wait and be kettled down the tunnel onto the station platform rather than walk out of the ground into New Cross. I saw Millwall back in the day up to no good attacking fans at London Bridge, I don't antiscapte trouble on Sept 14th but will be driving to avoid Charlton station and Floyd rd4

If anyone has two tickets in the North West block they would open to selling / swapping for two of my mates who were too slow to pull the trigger there's a couple of pints in it!0

I remember after one game at The Den (a boring 0-0) when we got let out at the same time and I avoided getting a punch by about an inch. @Mike legged it and was about halfway to Surrey Quays before he remembered about me!4

So I can understand people's nervousness to travel on crowded routes.1 -

Curbishley Stand holds 6,000 and I estimate 4,000 left.
West Stand holds 8,000 & I estimate 3,000 left.
So looks like 20,000 sold.0 -
