League One 25/26

  • Peterborough bottom after 5 games, with Reading and Wycombe also in the bottom 4 and Blackpool just outside on GD.

Wycombe needed a late equaliser to get a point at home to Reading, a defeat in that game would have put Dodds under real pressure.
  • I would love it if P'boro went down. DMac talks so much shite.
  • Cardiff and Huddersfield shocking no one byl eading the way early on
  • Jackson's Wimbledon holding their own. Another win against one of the bigger sides in that league in Barnsley.

An interview with Nigel Clough about the gap between L1 spending and the Premier League. One bit caught my attention

"Birmingham and Wrexham were out on their own last season," he added. "And with Charlton in there, the three biggest wage bills went up [won promotion]. That probably shows you something or how much it means.
"With those two out of the way, it's much more even in the league with spending. But even now, Huddersfield have spent big, and others have spent more than £1m on strikers.
"It's big money for League One, which seems to be the way that football is going at the moment."

Did we have the 3rd biggest wage bill last season? I'd have thought Bolton, Barnsley and Huddersfield would have been up there with us?
  • Thought we were 4th/5th - Huddersfield, Bolton and Wycombe in the places around us
  •  Bradford 3-0 up over Huddersfield at HT.
  • Kanu for Wallsall.
