I was going to ask what kind of power source you needed for them ... then remembered you can't get the sodding bulbs... Historical display piece only then!
Have to get lucky and pick one up that's still in good shape.

@Henry Irving no photos obviously but are the bigger screen and digital ad board upgrades also in full flow?
Not that I noticed but I was blinded by the lights
Bought my nephew a 1,000 watt bulb for his torch for his birthday. You should have seen his little face light up.

When is the new screen set to be installed? Was it projected to be up and running for the Millwall game?
Hope it’s going to be a bit  more advanced than a projector after all this hype ! 😉😆

This is the latest screen at the Oval. The largest yet. Displays replays and photos of players. Hope the Valley gets something similar.

Look at those idiots using fat white text on a blue background when everyone knows thin black text on a red background is best…..

I’ve always wondered what a screen shot was

Think it’ll look a lot like the one in the corner at west Brom

  • Wouldn't mind that score at the Valley Saturday!

debatable, I'd be pissed if we conceded 5 goals!

So I think the plan is as follows

    This International Break
    • Floodlights
    • Railing added to East stand
    Next International Break:
    • Screen

The railings have gone in the bottom rows of stairs from the gangway down but the top haven't yet, if they ever will.
    Pic anyone of these railings?

The way they've put them in you can't get a good picture. They're at the ends of the rows instead of in the middle of the stairs.

Thanks. How high are they, are they likely to affect views etc?

They don't look like they'll affect it too much. It looks like they started from block A when I was looking during the women's game and it didn't look like they had finished it, so maybe the rest were done this week.

The hand rails are in place in the Curbs stand

They are the end of each aisle, not in the middle of the steps.

Currently just metal but will have red plastic covering in time.

No new screen yet.  It is now in the UK and if you look behind the current screen tomorrow you will see the ground work has started.

Interesting that the number of lights has decreased by 50. Just goes to show how outdated the technology had become

I used to quite like it when you used to watch the lights gradually coming, on one by one at the top of the pylon back in the day.

We removed gas based fixtures by getting promoted. We no longer have to play Bristol Rovers.

does this mean we'll get a pre-game light show now when it's dark enough?

The Curbs stand steps are steep but the climbing gear is a bit OTT
