I honestly don't think the league has sussed out we have the best defence in it yet. I mean Kaminski doesn't have to make saves does he?

Blimey - Comparisons of Docherty to Kinsella and Carey to Graeme Stuart. What’s going on? I’ve got too used to us being absolute shit to be able to believe it.

It’s just a shame that no-one on Charlton Life seems able to construct a grammatically correct 3rd Conditional sentence, lol.

I criticised Bell being moved to LWB as I didn’t think he had the pace or energy for it but fair enough, he is deceptively quick and really good at keeping the ball

Genuinely thought it was our worst performance of the season for the first 20 minutes. The press wasn't there, our attacks were non-existent, passing was wayward, and Blackburn looked sharper in every way. The rest of the game, I'm pleased to say, was the opposite, with the second half being about as complete a home performance as we've seen in a long while. My stand out was Bree, but as others have said you could make a case for any at the back, or in the middle of the park. Sonny Carey continued to show his full range of skills, having not touched the ball for the first 20, and the Doc/Cov combo has just blossomed from last year. Up front, the subs stole the show, with Miles winning every header, and Oloafe making a strong case to start on Tuesday. We can go into every game in this league believing we can get something from it, and that's an incredible achievement by Jones when you consider how long the infection of previous owners and management had hold of this club. A joy to look at the table!
  • A real team performance today, sadly could not make the match today, but what a match!

    Happy days again this week.
  • I thought Morishita and Ohashi both looked quite skillful for them, was delighted to see them go off.

Blackburn really struggled against our press, was delighted to see them keeping trying to play through us.

We put in a fantastic performance and Blackburn seemed willing to scupper themselves.

Looked a definite pen for them that would have made it 1-1, though I haven't seen it back.

Bree & Burke I was guilty of dismissing as squad signings. Obviously NJ knew what he was signing, but to me it feels like we have two new first teamers turning up unexpectedly.

    Really good today, everything clicked.
  • Terrific win after a slow start,  totally dominant by the end 👏

Great performance for 70 mins. Right up until the finishing.
Today worried me that in games that are tighter with chances fewer, lack of final product is going to cost us our rightful league position.
Sorry for being negative. Great day overall.

I've don't think I've ever seen a team when so many balls of the opposition in their final third as we did today.

Looking forward to seeing the post match interview from the Blackburn manager and the excuses regarding how they were robbed, bound to be some, truth is they got off very lightly at 3-0 and the scoreline flattered them greatly.
First 20 minutes were touch and go for both teams, with them slightly on top it must be said, with the unfortunate injury to Edwards resulting in his substitution with Macca, came a renewed strength and resolve, and it was not a surprise when Macca headed home a brilliant goal at the far post, a header made to look regulation but was everything but.
So 1-0 half time, second half arrived with a burst of aggression on our part, and we should have increased our lead by at least a couple of goals long before Careys exocet from 20 yards out after a nice assist from Tanto that left the keeper grasping in thin air, and the third was another nice finish from Bree, a man quickly cementing a place Ramsay will have to fight for.
So 7th spot it is and we go again Tuesday up at Pride Park where Derby County are our hosts going for a hat trick of wins, and who's to say we wont get that result...COYR
Nope, the excuse from the Blackburn manager was about how the “stonewall penalty” was denied at the end of the first half..
First half? Can't remember that. Thought he was moaning about the shout for one in the second half.
Sorry Large you are right, they were shooting towards the away end so definitely second half. Regardless it was point blank

A few comments on the Rovers forum suggest we’re a poor side and that they should be beating teams like us. Personally, I hope that continues—there’s nothing better than opponents and their fans underestimating us.

It was a classic Jonesie performance in my view: win the battle early, suffocate the opposition in the first half, then go for the jugular in the second. Our substitutes play just as vital a role as those in the starting line-up.

Please tell me this is a wind-up? He was absolutely awful - bad decisions all game, with the icing on the cake when he gave a goal kick to Blackburn right at the end which was a clear corner. Even Steve Brown who had been trying to defend him said "no he's awful" at that!

Well they won the league in 1995 and have done fuck all since so I can see why they have such a high opinion of themselves 😐

One thing with this team is when we play well we make the opposition look mediocre at best. It means those who are seeing us for the first time or are casual viewers think we’re a bit rubbish and we caught the opposition on a bad day

3-0 and Alfie May is back! So many people will be happy!
Why has James Bree has his surname redacted? Witness protection?

Don’t joke - being able to keep hold of him after January worries me more and more every week!
  • I imagine the Soton fans will be wondering how he couldn't get in their side, seeing that we are now 4 points ahead of them,  massively due to his 2 assists and 1 goal in 2 starts and the 2 clean sheets he helped us keep!
