I think I’d go with this except Carey instead of Knibbs. No way he’ll be left out but every chance the front two gets rotated

Genuinely think the refs in L1 were better than at this level. Ironically, I thought the only good ref we’ve had was at Millwall which I never thought would be the case

I find the comments about us and NJ consistently entertaining. Long may we continue to be underestimated and meme'd on by opposing fans until they get slapped in the face by a fitter, stronger and faster squad that has beaten teams sometimes almost purely from wanting it more - both this season and last.

Pretty sure that no other Championship managers will be expecting an easy game against us, home or away, and know what we are about. Since that dire night vs. Crawley last year, we've been on a continual run that delivers both clean sheets and results. Fans and pundits may not have learned it yet, but they'll soon learn to not expect getting easy points against us.

Genuinely amusing to see the comments of other fans thinking we're just another tinpot L1 playoff side that they are obliged to roll over. We have one of the best defences in the league and, as of the weekend, just started scoring more goals too. Anything but easy getting points from us atm.

I'd start Tanto in place of Kelman. I think Tanto's pressing and nuisance value suits our style of play perfectly and he deserves longer on the pitch.

An advantage for us is one of their biggest outlets in Edwards at Left wing back should be missing for this game which means one of Bell or Gillesphey will play left wing back who want give us at much problems in defence (even though he scored a header on the weekend off a set peice).

No surprise we rank 24th for accurate passing. 
Jones is not interested in the beautiful game. He loves to see a defender hoof it to no one in particular. 

I suspect we tippy-tap pass around at the back or work the ball backwards a lot less than the other 23 teams in the league and probably more likely to try and quickly give our front runners something to chase. Those are the passes that will more likely be 50/50 between the attacker and defender as to who gets to the ball first if they dont go out iof play. I prefer our approach. 

Maybe NJ is thinking ahead of time. For instance, many of the Premier League clubs are playing far more direct football this season than in previous ones. The dreadfully boring tiki taka shite Pep introduced has been found out and busted open by direct, often long balls. City ain't all that nowadays, all the same.

Still don't think we should overlook the work the two strikers do to tire out defenders before the two sub strikers come on though. Worth remembering the most lively Kelman has looked this season is when he came on at QPR. I personally like the dynamic of TC starting and Tanto coming on with 20/25 minutes to go to cause chaos. No reason to say he can't do that from the start of games though

It has worked pretty well! I think I'm just curious to see if the big man could do it from start and see how TC would perform against a tired defense.

7 games in and we have played 4 of the top 10 and one the top 10 are us (millwall, bristol, leicester, QPR, Us).  50% of the top 10 can't be construed as 'haven't really played any of the top teams' unless you know where the teams are going to finish.  

Top teams probably the wrong wording. Big players on this league probably better. Clubs with Premier league money and Premier league players and set ups.

No, joking apart, does anyone have news of him? There's more chance of his constant prediction coming true these days.

From previous searches i deduced that he  didn't make it through the covid era. Like a lot of us, he possibly lived alone and didn't have any close friends/relatives ready, able and willing to update the forum. I would love to be proved wrong @happyvalley

Here's hoping he just drifted away from the forum/social media in general in that period rather than anything else. Always a great poster!

IF it's much easier to be a striker in our team coming on after an hour, after the starters have done the hard work, then logically Kelman should WANT to be on the bench, as coming on as a sub he'll have a much better chance of scoring.

Well he may do, we’ll never know unless he states it publicly. My point is that the most dangerous he’s looked in a game this season was QPR when he came on. On the other hand, Tanto had a mare when he started at Cambridge. I’d definitely be interested to see how it works and think he does deserve a start but if it’s not broken don’t fix it imo
