One of my favourite grounds and the town is not as bad as some of the others in the area (Blackburn, Blackpool etc)
  • Has anyone else not received their tickets yet? Usually they always arrive within a few days, but it's been about 2 weeks since ive ordered them and i've not received them.

Imo not the most inspiring of places, turn right out of the station and go straight through the high street and go from there.
    A few okay pubs.

Can go to this now but just seen train prices, absolutley crazy expensive, think I'm gonna have to knock it :(

It will obviously take you longer travelling, but try London to Birmingham return, then Birmingham to Preston return.  Ticket splitter may also be of help to you.
  • I went to Sheffield, I’m going to derby but I’ve got to miss this. It’s getting silly expensive now. National express doesn’t get there until the evening. I seem to remember the club doing a deal with train companies years ago and selling tickets cheap. I’m sure I went to wolves and Bournemouth like this. Or maybe my memory is playing tricks.
  • Will try and get to this one.

Thanks but I did have a look at this, for all the messing about you have to do it really doesnt save that much on the £126 for normal fare for 1 adult 2 kids with a family card

That's a shame, Ipswich will be a LOT cheaper to take them to.

Seem to have bought one when my dad had already bought me one. Was £30 - if anyone wants it for £25, let me know

Just seen the weather forecast for Saturday in Preston, and getting flash backs to the postponed game last season! How strong do winds need to be to get a game called off?

Looking forward to this one with my son.. going up by coach... early start, but I think its the cheapest (and least tiring) way of doing it (there and back in same day).

    • The Harris Gallery has some great exhibits
    • There's a super statue to The Preston Martyrs
    • Brockholes is great for wildlife
    • If you've got the time you can walk the Preston Guild Wheel (I did it over two evenings, but you could do it in a day)
    • and if none of that suits you, it's a Two Spoons Town

Get away as quick as possible.
I was going to say it always lashes down, but didn't want to spoil it for those looking forward to it..

But heavy rain and 45mph winds are expected.
Get away as quick as possible.

Storm Amy hitting the North from Friday onwards. Wonder what their pitch is like for drainage ?  Could see this one being called off.
