We are due a complete shoeing but Kelman will get off the mark!

    3-1

    I am nothing but consistant.
We've been playing well all season (except QPR), why are we due a shoeing after 8 games? Not like we've been hanging on and being pulled apart every game.
Because everytime I have predicted a shoeing on the pre match thread, we have played well and grabbed a well deserved point or three.

Also one day my Kelman prediction will be spot on!

    Tough game for sure!

Like most, be happy with a draw but do feel we can nick something here. Ugliest win but who cares if thats the case!

We need to be a bit nasty here, hard tackles & shithousery to frustrate them.

Ill go out on a limb and say we will win 2-1 (Kelman and Tanto)

An interesting game this one. I also think Kelman will get off the mark here. Can’t wait to see how the Small/Bree match up unfolds

Unfortunately a 2-1 defeat I think but that won’t detract from our great start to the season imo

There seems a lot of people accepting defeat as a real probability, rather like the Sheff Utd and Derby game...
I see no reason why a point shouldn't be the minimum we will be looking at tomorrow, and personally feel we will travel home with all three in the bag, and who knows, go into the first international break in the top six....
But each to their own of course...

Usual total football performance with a scrambled late winner,  0-1 to the wind blown Addicks.

I'll take a point now if on offer. I've always said a point away from home is good and Nathan said as much after the Derby game.

I agree. Amount of times people have built the opposition up to be something they're not. Yes, second half on Tuesday we were under the cosh and some of the QPR game wasn't great but we've been the better team the rest of the season. Of course its early days and yes, we are playing at full tilt but i don't see any reason why we can't go up there and get 3 points.

Sheff and United were below us in the table and struggling. Preston are (slightly) ahead of us and playing well. And unbeaten at home.

Plus we looked leggy on Tuesday, and less than 4 days later have another long away trip.

Of course we all want a positive result, but it's hardly unreasonable to expect a tough afternoon.

Lots to mull over here, some good comments too. Will Jones change it wholesale?  I don't think so, the substitutions, in the main, were made in and around the 55 min mark on Tuesday, quite a few of us believed we would have been better served leaving Kelman and Carey on, but I believe that Nathan Jones the made those substitutions with one eye on tomorrows game. As for the Ramsay, Burke decision, who knows, when I looked at Preston's line up it showed Thierry Small on the right, so he would come up against Bell and Gillisphey not Ramsay/Burke and Bree, it was the BBC though, Small could have been in goal for all they know. So I am going for the same side and a point in a difficult game and in difficult conditions.

Negative side of brain - heavy loss, with each goal a max of 22 mins apart, mix of injuries and cards in tough conditions- the long slide to relegation starts here.

Positive side - Awful game, conditions ruin it for both sides, 0-0, with no-one injured or sent off.

Small has played on both sides this season, so it's hard to predict who he'll be up against.

I'm confident that both combos of Bell & Gillesphey and Bree & Burke/Ramsay have enough about them to cover him. What you have there is wingbacks with decent pace and CB's who are physically strong, between them they should be able to nullify Thierry

Presuming it’s going to be Small on the right considering Preston lost their RWB to injury and they don’t have another trusted option there. Little worried about Small up against Gillesphey because of the pace if he does get in behind Bell but don’t think the end product would scare us

Think this will be our sternest test. I’d jump at a point right now.

This is a tough game and could very easily be one game  too far for us … the conditions are going to be terrible but I feel we saw the affect of championship football with two games in 4 days we looked tired , the pace and movement in this league is fast and our pressing game has to be quicker .. so tiredness will be an issue until we get use to it .. Ramsey looked poor on Tuesday but think he will stay in , Carey who looked shuttered in Tuesday after only 55 mins might miss out .. and again Campbell still not done anything to warrant another start ..so might be a few changes but i fear for this one 2-0 to Preston

Are you saying this could be Knibbs’s window of opportunity?

A sterner test than Bristol City away?

They are a good side but on paper this is one we can have a go at competing against across the course of a season.

I predict a 1-1 and I'd happily take another point while on the road.

As everyone has pointed out this will be a big test against a good team who have started well. But they can concede goals as well as Hull have proved. First goal crucial, Small to have bragging rights, 1-0 to Preston.

Think this is going to be a tough tough game if it goes ahead. Wind may play havoc and lead to a lot of unpredictable ball movement - fear Kaminski’s preference to punch and push the ball away rather than catch it may be played upon. A narrow 3-2 defeat.

We’re a much better side than when we played them in the FA Cup in January, albeit they’ve since nicked Thierry Small and probably improved as well, we were unlucky to lose that day. Slightly concerning how tired our players looked in the last 20 mins of the Derby match, hopefully we can come away with a result here - we’re no mugs and we’ve been in every match so far in the Championship, I think because we’ve not been battered yet there’s some pessimism but there’s no reason why we can’t get a result here against a team that seem very equal to us on form alone, my heart says we play like we did away to Wycombe in April and we have a shock 4-0 win, my head says another hard-fought backs against the wall draw.
