    In my experience, you are most definitely in a small minority.  Anyway, my original post said I am yet to meet anyone who knew the song writers name and I have never met you!

    Fair description for me I wouldn't know John Paul Young, but the song can be a bit of an ear worm. 

    Maybe too much for an Aussie to contend with our own Paul Young (Every time you go away) and Paul Young from Mike and the Mechanics.

    She was a lovely girl but it was a 5 or 6 month holiday romance and then I took to the air and moved 10,500 miles away.

    I discounted Love is in the Air as John Paul Young seemed to be Australian (after a bit of Googling) and didn’t think his daughter would be in the UK. A massive song but I’d never heard of the singer. Hurry up and bring the football back!
