    Well that filled Thursday!

    Cheers for being a good sport Athletico 👍
    Only another week of the International Break to go.
    What's everyone's favourite colour or favourite smell?

    @EastTerrace gets it right.

    Love is in the air / John Paul Young

    A song that has lasted the ages and everyone can sing, but yet to meet someone who could name the singer without googles help...!

    Except in Australia where he had his own float in the Olympics opening ceremony so popular he is out there!

    I knew John Paul Young sung Love Is In The Air  :(

    Well done you. In my experience, you are most definitely in a small minority.  My original post said I am yet to meet anyone who knew the song writers name and I have never met you!
    I don't think you mentioned you were after the writer rather than the singer did you? Cos the guesses for "The One and Only" by Chesney Hawkes would've been a tiny bit awkward. (Hint, he didn't write it)

    Me n' all. Have Lifers never heard of Popmaster? It's a regular answer on there (as in every couple of years it crops up).

    Cracking tune too.

    I'm better than half the Popmaster contestants, but some of the top ones are unreal.
  • Don’t know if it’s been mentioned previously but the popularity of the song Love is in the Air got a big boost when it was used in the soundtrack of the film Strictly Ballroom in 1992.

    Me too but forget it when it's Champions League time in a couple of months. Some of them are off the scale good at recalling the most ridiculously obscure music trivia. Got a rare 39 last month, but also had my first ever zero this year  :#
