Taskmaster

What an episode! Maisie with one of the biggest meltdowns I've seen from anyone and the " Make this Awkward" team task was absolutely exceptional.1

I agree, and also thought the initial off the cuff moments of awkwardness were great too, and in Reese and Maisie’s case, better than their actual effort.MarcusH26 said:What an episode! The "awkward" task lived up to its name, and then some 🫣0
-
Was a bit disappointed by Maisie and Reese's effort. Having a made up awkward scenario didn't work as well as the other 3's attempt0
-
Just catching up.The team task with the twins is up there with my all time favourites - genuine belly laughs. So good.2
-
Really good episode again. Very good live task and prize task. Very close in scoring too, any of them could win0
-
It's nice to have a genuinely anyone can win series after the last series where no offence to Mat , he'd won inside 4 episodes
The flippers task was Taskmaster at its best.0 -
Going to miss this cast. What an episode and at least we're going to the finale with no guaranteed winner.0
-
went to watch the Horne Section last week. there's a section where audience members test out a taskmaster task.
my wife went up and won so we now have a genuine task envelope sat on the mantlepiece next to the golden duck I won at the taskmaster experience (and a jar of chinese 5 spice signed by Alex)3 -
3 way tie is a bit mad. Maisie was my favourite throughout the season, happy she won to see more of her. Ania looked gutted she didn't win0

Wanted Ania to win the tie break, but any of the three would have been decent on COC4 - good lineups for that and New Year - Susie Dent especially on that one.siblers said:3 way tie is a bit mad. Yeah, I'd have been happy for any of them to win really. Ania unlucky to have quite a poor final episode.2
-
Just glad we don’t have the prospect of an all male COC. Thought it was a fantastic series, the chemistry of the cast was perfect2
-
One of the best series in years , I think they badly needed one that went the distance after Mat Baynton had the series wrapped up at halfway in S19. Personally wanted Ania to win , ultimately Sanjeevs cupboard opening cost her!
CoC I really can't call , John Robins should be the favourite as the all time highest points scorer but I can't see past Sam Campbell winning.
NYT with a really fun lineup too, Susie Dent and Sam Ryder both inspired picks and everything I've seen Jill Scott on she's been great fun.0 -
I really enjoyed that episode, especially the glee from all of them in the "squirt Alex" task, and Phil coming up with a loophole that Alex hadn't thought of for the cups task, even if it was subverted by a last minute stewards inqury. Ania still would have lost if not for Sanjeev's cupboard shenanigans though, as Phil was also affeicted by that, and his tie-break answer was closer than hers.2
-
Good series and contestants but I thought some of the tasks in the actual final were a bit weak. The squirt Alex was great but both the ones with cups seemed a bit half hearted by Alex.0
-
Cost Phil I think - him and Ania would still have been level, but he was closer on the tie-break.MarcusH26 said:Personally wanted Ania to win , ultimately Sanjeevs cupboard opening cost her!
But then these things probably even out over a series and are filmed in a different order to that shown etc, we only think about the door one as it was the last show!1 -
I really liked the cup one! And Phil's idea of halfing them was great.thenewbie said:Good series and contestants but I thought some of the tasks in the actual final were a bit weak. The squirt Alex was great but both the ones with cups seemed a bit half hearted by Alex.0 -
Eurgh, John Robins. Good at the tasks in a really boring way in my opinion.MarcusH26 said:One of the best series in years , I think they badly needed one that went the distance after Mat Baynton had the series wrapped up at halfway in S19. Rest of the line-up is good - big fan of Sam Campbell and Andy Zaltzman.1 -
Honestly I think it will be quite funny to see Robins having to put up with the weirdness of Campbell and Zaltzman, the wholesome oddity of Baynton and Maisie Adams being both very competitive and also prone to complete self sabotage.North Lower Neil said:

He'll probably win but at the cost of his sanity.0 -

He's great mates with Zaltzman and definitely work level pals with Adams too. He's chilled out a lot more in recent years as he settled into sobriety. I think he'll be more fun than on his seriesthenewbie said:

I think he realised afterwards that he took the winning and trying to find every one of Alex's tricks too far.fenaddick said:

Oh that's good to hear, glad that he's managed to find a bit more peace honestly.fenaddick said:

s19 was a tough one to follow but this one was superb
looking forward to a longer than usual coc, a ny special with a great lineup and the s21 cast has potential to be chaotic with some real contrasts in personality0 -
Amy Gledhill
Armando Iannucci
Joanna Page
Joel Dommett
Kumail Nanjiani
for those who don't know the s21 lineup

I'd seen the same rumour - find the 4th one really annoying normally!! Hopefully works in the format - there has been some contestants before I hadn't liked on other stuff who won me round!rina said:Amy Gledhill
