Moore looked unplayable last night, wonder if he’d fit into our attack.

Edit, 6 foot 5 tall, 33 years old, probably not, and probably on a fair wedge at Wrexham.

If this is the player Miles could be, then we’re talking.
He wouldn't do the chasing that NJ demands from his forwards. We could be offered Harry Kane on a free & we'd turn him down because he wont charge around the pitch for 60 mins.
Which is fair enough if the player isn’t suitable for what NJ wants… Alfie may for example.

It looks like he covered every blade in this game.

Yeah Kane is actually a terrible example, because his work rate is damned impressive
  • Has anyone ever thought the maybe if Wrexham sorted out there defence, they would then be less attacking and score less goals.

Maybe the reason they’ve conceded the 3rd amount of goals in the league is because they throw caution to the wind to try and score goals.

Ill take our combined goal scoring and defensive record over there’s any day.

  • Coventry's high defensive line was exploited by Wrexham in the second half.

Keeping it like that for the whole match was a bit of a gamble which did not pay off for Lampard.

Look, I  never said that they would finish above us, it wasn't a comparison.

I do think they are far more likely to make the play offs as it stands but there's a long way to go.

The defence looks better now they have had to change goalkeeper and ditched Coady.

I don't think Coventry are as good as everyone is making out.  I thought their defence was shaky and as a team they allowed far too much space through the thirds generally. This was also the case at home to Watford last weekend.

We won't be so open next week, but we will certainly have our hands full.

I've only watched the extended highlights from the game last night, but I thought that the Coventry defence looked awful.
  • Wrexham have a lot of really good players and if they sort their defence out could make the play offs. They have strikers that score, unlike us.
They are very reliant on one plan - lump it to Moore.

When it works, it's very effective.  Just feel they need a plan B at some point!

Yeah was baffled why they opted against going with the 'Keeper who helped get them promoted

Could say the same about us with Mannion, but he was never signed as a No.1
  • Moore is 33 and a big unit.  He will pick up an injury in the next month if he plays all their games and be out for an extended period.  Then Wrexham will slide back down again

They can then bring Sam Smith back in who tore us apart last sesaon.

not picking holes BB, but what do you base this on? Just the fact they score more?, I just don’t see why this would be. Feel like a lot of our fans are playing us down almost to soften the blow if things do go tits up instead of being a bit bullish which I think we have a right to be.

Coventry were pretty poor at the back vs Watford too. If the goals dry up that top 2 finish might be a big ask.

Sure but last season when we played them our players were knackered after a fairly gruelling period, with a tiny squad we couldn't rotate.  Jones was having injections to get him on the pitch and we didn't have half the options we do now.  Smith is a decent option but he clearly is not as good as Moore.

Wrexham also went into the game with the knowledge that a win against us, would secure them promotion. Their players said after that match, that they were relieved they weren't required to go to Lincoln on the final day to finish the job.

It ´s not the main reason we dont go for a player like him. It ´s his age, and wedge he commands as an established Welsh international. As an “asset” the investment only pays off if his goals are key to them getting promotion this season. I think they are likely to finish a bit above us, but am fairly sure they won’t go up. If Kelman hits form, on the other hand, his asset value doubles, fast. As a sustainable business strategy, I’m all for it. No one else will do a Wrexham in the same way, and if they have a meh middling season, the Disney season will be dull as dishwater, and you know what happens after that.

Eidur's Son Gudjohnsen scores again for Blackburn. (naming doesn't make any sense, surely he should be called Eidursen?!)

Has to be it for Manning surely?

Even more annoyed we lost to this Leicester side now.

Thought we’d caught them on and off day but they are just poor.

Should have been 3 or 4 for us that day.

Very annoying that we lost to them to a worldie.

Take Fatawu out their side (he cost them nearly £15m in total) and suddenly they'd be right down in the mire
  • The Leicester defeat was the anti-Ipswich game... Everything came off for us in the latter, nothing worked in the former

    They look completely lost.

The crowd will be baying for blood at full time.

Norwich dont look any better here, they could equally be 3-0 up, but they're begging to concede another

You can see why Charlton and Hull are so high, when you watch us both defensively.

We were lucky last week, that Hull's Achilles heal defensively is protecting set pieces.

Six straight home defeats. They won't be happy. Can't see Manning lasting the weekend although a lot of their fans put the blame elsewhere.
