Developers always get their way,I live in Walderslade,Chatham, alowly but surely the lovely green fields which were here when I first lived here are being paved over, despite mammoth protests from local people.Money talks, thats it,no one cares about wild life, soon it will be extinct, and we will have lovely housing estates instead.People moan about the damage animals do,but what are they supposed to do when their habitat is being eroded.Stig said:The House of Lords has voted in favour of Amendment 130 to Government's Planning and Infrastructure Bill. This amendment provides additional safeguards to stop development from destroying protected wildlife and wild places. The bill is due to be debated for a final time in the Commons shortly. Environmental bodies including The RSPB, The Wildlife Trusts, The CPRE and the Chartered Institute of Ecologists and Environmental Managers support this amendment and some are urging concerned people to contact their MPs requesting their support for Amendment 130.
