Didn't he say in the interview with Charlotte, he considers himself English for football, and Welsh for rugby?
Also, he refused to take the Welsh flag from NJ at Wembley.
Maybe Wales have already contacted him, and he said "no"?

I think this was because he’d received an England youth call up. Can’t see Jones being sold 30 years old so has probably peaked in terms of ability, he will have no resale value and with most clubs wanting ball playing cb’s these days in football he would only be suited to this sort of system. Think he stays here and cements himself don’t want to say legend but a cult hero1

Nah, for all those scouts out there, he's rubbish, cant defend, cant head the ball, trips over the ball and is a bad influence in the dressing room.

Wouldn't swap him for anybody. Week after week he puts in commanding performances. We would be lost without him. He was immense yet again against WBA. Has been my favourite player for a long time now.0

At risk of getting pelters for this, as I do love Jones and agree without him in the team we are weaker defensively, but.......he is the ultimate pressing centreback, but I do think his aggressive way of playing does get him a) booked alot and b) caught out of position. When it works at it's best he is intimidating and the kind of player certain strikers will back away from a 1 to 1. But in some games I do think it's an accident waiting to happen, the worry of getting turned away from and leaving space to run into is there. It works overall and he's clearly a NJ type of player, in your face etc. But I dont think we're in danger of losing him to the premier league. As some have said this saturday he is up against the top championship hitman in Moore, if he wins the duel I for one will happily eat humble pie. I will definitely have 20 quid on him to be booked I will add!0

It wasn't too long ago that Lloyd was an anonymous second fiddle to an underwhelming Michael Hector. His transformation from journeyman to talisman at such a late stage in his career is truly remarkable.3

I genuinely don’t think he would leave at this stage in his career unless offered a once in a lifetime opportunity from a prem club which I think given his age is unlikely. I remember watching his interview with Charlotte and him talking about how all his loan moves while at Liverpool was quite detrimental to his career I think he has really flourished having stability at one club and would not want to risk that.0

Not sure if anyone else notices it or it's just me over-analysing, but he looks like he's absolutely spent within 10 minutes of every match. Both Saturday and Tuesday he was blowing with his hands on his knees at the start of the first half.
It's a testament to his character that he plays 90 minutes every match and never seems to put a foot wrong, but I do worry we're completely over reliant on him. Ideally he'd drop out for a match here and there, but that won't happen until he picks up an injury.0 -
My old man reckons he's playing through an injury right now and probably having injections to get through it. He pulled up about the same time Bell did at the weekend, and was on the touchline with the physio whilst Docherty was getting ready to take the penalty on Tuesday night

The touchline thing is interesting because he’s over there as much as he can when play stops. Sometimes with the physio but often to get instructions off Fleming or NJ. He’s clearly taking on board advice and tactical tweaks and distributing them when Doc is higher up the pitch so less able to pop over0

He has had his injury issues and it is probably a good reason why we shouldn't want him playing for Wales. Rest him up in the international breaks as he is too precious. Remember, when we signed Lloyd he was drifting with Cambridge at 28, albeit their player of the season.
He signed for us, playing without consistency or reliability - as the team were nosediving towards the Fourth Division.
Enter NJ ...... and Lloyd morphes into the defensive rock as we win promotion. And the team's star player so far in this promotion season.
NJ evidently has installed a discipline, structure and concentration into Lloyd, plus superb leadership qualities.
NJ has rescued TC's career also, after the lad was broken and had clearly lost his way under Appleton. Now he's a vital cog in NJ's gameplan in a higher league.
They'll be others too.
NJ is some man manager.
