Oi you lot, Rob Apter. Whats going on ?

I think he can be a very good wingback as long as there is a solid center back behind him to lighten the defensive load2
-
We have short memories. We voted him player of the month for August. As others have said, unlucky to lose his place to Bree, who has been different class. I’m a bit surprised he’s not coming on as a sub.6

Felt sorry that The Rapter was "dropped" but needs must and his replacement has been superb tbf. He was our best new player along with Sonny the first few games. His time will come to shine again.0
-
Basically he needs Ramsay with him to thrive, but Ramsay got sent off and then dropped for Burke, and when he came back he was LWB. If in a couple of games time we bring back Ramsay, we may well bring back Apter and push Bree to LWB where he's played before, or even drop Bree and play Bell LWB1

Reserve leagues are organised by age-groups, not weight like Boxing. But if there were a Fly-weight League, he would be a star.0

Nonsense .wolfgang said:Reserve leagues are organised by age-groups, not weight like Boxing. But if there were a Fly-weight League, he would be a star.2 -
Hope he comes good he’s won a player of the month he’s been very good so far, people talking about the QPR goal like another half the team weren’t out of position and beaten to easily and he scored in that game as well. His biggest weakness is that he’s competing for a role with prime Dani Alves at the moment and Bree isn’t even our player. If we can’t get him done in January it’s not like Apters a bad replacement in the slightestAthletico Charlton said:Not seen enough of him to make a real decision but first thoughts are he is a skillfully player with Championship technique. But he is tiny and light weight and not great defensively. Not sure where he fits in our current formation.
Hope he comes good but it's not a certainty.0 -
Could have come in and played in the 10’s when Fullah and Knibbs came off, Bree also not fit enough to take a set piece and apter still can’t get minutes. Something has to be going on behind the scenes if u can’t get in over an injured player3
-
Surprised he didn't come on for Bree after we went a goal down. Needed flair and pace on both wings.6
-
It’s odd. He looked good when he played at the start of the season . Jones has obviously seen something, we haven’t. He might have to play against Southampton as Bree can’t .2

Thought the same, can only think Bree stayed on for his crossing and set pieces.cantersaddick said:Surprised he didn't come on for Bree after we went a goal down. Needed flair and pace on both wings.0 -
Weird though as crossing is Apter’s strength and our best chance was a whipped ball from the edge of the box by Carey, exactly the thing Apter loves doingScoham said:

Been treated terribly, was a shining light start of the season, surely he is worth a run out2

If bree cant take set pieces why is he playing?16

NJ may be marmite but he's also an infuriating bugger. It seems it's his way or the highway. Started off with Alfie May & now its Apter's & JRC turn.
Starting to get on my nerves.

Whats the betting the quote is along the lines of 'Listen, well we look at a lot, in training and around the place and he's not quite there in terms of stuff and like the things we are asking him to do and we keep asking and he'll get there.'1
-
Yep. He’s not yet the best version of himself.Alwaysneil said:Whats the betting the quote is along the lines of 'Listen, well we look at a lot, in training and around the place and he's not quite there in terms of stuff and like the things we are asking him to do and we keep asking and he'll get there.'5 -
Are any of us ? We are all getting older. The best version of me was probably in the mid to late 80's when I just out of my teenage years !PragueAddick said:

So NJ basically said to Cawley that Apter didn’t play because then we’d have two very attacking wingbacks. Doesn’t explain not bringing him on late in the game though2

Mmmm, i like having two attacking wingbacks on the pitch although would prefer not to have gillesphey on the pitch at the same time1

Remember some Blackpool fans saying he had a bit of an attitude, so maybe he and Jones aren't seeing eye to eye right now. Clearly wasn't happy when subbed against Hull, don't think anyone else has reacted like that.0

Apter still has an important part to play this season and beyond. Have no doubts that he’s a Championship calibre player.
Does he's xG say that Jones is getting it wrong and Apter should be playing more games?

If he goes to Blackpool- will he go for Apter?
Kelman may like Lytham over Woolwich and think he'll start scoring goals again.

Don't want to make assumptions, but I thought it was very odd that we gave him a warm reception as he entered the tunnels before kick-off and he blanked us.
Each to their own, but if your travelling fans of over 200+ miles back you when you aren't even starting, should surely show a bit of appreciation?
Personally think something is up.1 -
He’s clearly not happy with his game time and where others have knuckled down and got on with it Apter clearly isn’t happy. Think he has a point to be upset personally when u have gone from a POTM to not even getting a minuteBraziliance said:Don't want to make assumptions, but I thought it was very odd that we gave him a warm reception as he entered the tunnels before kick-off and he blanked us.

The real telling thing will be if he plays against Southampton or not0

Here we go again, we’re on a good run get beat away to a penalty player A (insert your own name) isn’t selected and something is wrong behind the scenes yawn.
In NJ we trust.3 -
Eh? Why does a good run mean something can’t still be wrong somewhere in the changing room? Man U were on their way towards another premier league title when Alex Ferguson kicked a boot at beckham and decided to shift him that summer.Bournesnr said:Here we go again, we’re on a good run get beat away to a penalty player A (insert your own name) isn’t selected and something is wrong behind the scenes yawn.

feels odd to me that we have not used apter who despite some inconsistency has shown he can be some kind of threat - and we don’t have much threat at the moment. He stormed off the pitch and was visibly annoyed when replaced at Hull
Find this whole vibe from some fans that if things are going well then by default everything that the manager or board is perfect
I’m hoping apter ends up having a Thierry small renaissance as the season goes on and ends up being a consistent and crucial Part of what will hopefully be a good season as I think He showed potential12
