Mick Schumacher makes the move from WEC to IndyCar for 2026 - Can only imagine he's hoping to impress the American market back in Single Seaters, as an eventual route back to F1
Interested to see how he goes , plenty of F2 graduates over there now with Lungaard, Hauger,Ilott, Armstrong and Shwartzmann to baseline him against. Think leaving WEC for a struggling RLL team is a bit of an odd one though.

I didn't expect this. Could be an absolute mess if that car isn't a rocketship

Has he actually been a TP before?

Lewis out in SQ1, Ferrari looks absolutely horrible.

Not a track that suits their car, too many medium speed corners
  • Good Quali from Tsunoda, I'd keep an eye out for him if I was McLaren, wouldn't trust that Red Bull

Piastri back on top . Lando in the worst place possible with George and Yuki around him who have nothing to lose

Dunno... Russell uncharacteristically didn't want to fight Lando in Vegas last weekend.

He certainly can't afford to go backwards with a bad start tomorrow though.

Kinda hoping Russell will be thinking anyone but Max for the title. Hoping he won’t fight Lando too hard.

This Sprint race is just so boring!
  • The Qatar track just isnt designed for F1, its a MotoGP circuit and is just terrible

That Sprint could easily have been a quick email

Another decent result for George Russell, he’s having a very solid season.
  • I like Sprint races, much prefer the drama of the extra Qualifying session, and the extra race start

Might as well have a Sprint race in Monaco after that though, as at least with Monaco you'd get the extra drama of the added Qualifying session - That was a session that would have been more exciting had it been a typical FP2 / FP3

Complete non-event. There are so few decent circuits left on the calendar.
Can only hope that the change of regs helps but don't have much confidence in the governance of F1.

Remember Qatar is on the calendar forever now too, signed a new deal to 2034, and no doubt with the amount of money swilling about will extend that further.

Soon we'll have Qatar, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, 2 circuits in Saudi Arabia and I have little doubt more expansion on top of that

Qatar was supposed to move to a street circuit in Doha but I've heard nothing about that for a couple of years

Thailand announced plans for a street circuit in Bangkok for 2028 this week too

Hamilton’s nightmare continues, out in Q1 along with Tsunoda
  • I really wouldn't be shocked if Hamilton just decided to call it a day over the winter

He's beating both works Drivers, which shows how bad the Ferrari is...

Leclerc struggled to get past him in the Sprint race, and eventually fell away from him

Yeah that wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Such a a sad end but I get the suspicions he knows the 26' Ferrari isn't a rocketship too.

Would leave Haas in a massive pickle!

Might give someone like Tsunoda a bit of a lifeline... Would they want him because of the rival Honda connections though?

Think Ferrari would loan them Zhou. I find the Kalle Rovenpera plan absolutely fascinating from Toyota though.

Hamilton and Alonso will stick around for the first year of the new cars, then both call it a day.

Bearman will step up to Ferrari then and I presume Camara will have had a year in F2 and will be ready for Haas, unless Beganovic has an outstanding season next time out and they decide he's a better bet.

Think Aston in 2027 could be absolutely wide open . Alonso retires , Stroll I don't even know what's going on there. No real juniors of their own , Jak Crawford is probably going end up in FE or Indycar most likely and Mari Boya has shown flashes in F3.

I wonder if Lawrence might throw the chequebook at Leclerc potentially?

Fornaroli confirmed as F2 champion with one race to spare.
    Bravo.
