every club will have to deal with injuries from time to time but this season for us, I’ve never known anything like it. We do actually have some decent squad depth this year but we have had 20 different players out at some point or another this season and 6 or 7 regular first teamers out at any one time. It seems just as a couple come back we lose a couple more. Oh, and the icing on the cake was losing Cooper for today’s game because he picked up the softest yellow card you could imagine in his last game.Karim_myBagheri said:
tbf i have no idea who your players are but you're right with injuries and suspensions it can for us (and maybe you) push us to what i always thought would happen, a relegation battle. I hope I'm wrong, we've done so well so far and there is points between us and that bottom lot but these winter months is when you really see it.MillwallFan said:
We’ve got Southampton next week at home. Not looking forward to it to be honest. They were always in a false position.Karim_myBagheri said:small mercies
other way round we both would of done better...well who knows, but we have like yous against us a good record against Portsmouth.Picked up another injury today (Zak Sturge, concussion) and on top of that Joe Bryan got a straight red so he’s out for three games. This league is relentless and injuries/suspensions can make or break your season.
especially as we have a low budget for this league which is shown by our squad. which is understandable.
you lot on the other hand I would of thought would be mid league range squad depth and budget. You lot should be fine but yeah I don't know your players. I'll just give your manager a slight bit of advice for next weekend, those front three for Saints aint half bad so your defenders need to be right on top of them from the off. urgh, advice to them..Frustrating to say the least.1 -
mate, you jammy sods will be fine. Though I do know Cooper and he is very important to your team. we have injury problems as well but i don't think its reached your levels as of yet. Certainly in attacking areas for us maybe but 7 regulars for you imo isn't as bad as us but for others on here they'll say it isn't far from us. but those people are moronsMillwallFan said:

Do we really have rivalry with a club from Hounslow (thought our boundary was 7 mil radius)?HastingsRed said:

big gap
you've been spanked at home more times than us this season

Promotion? I’ve never said that. I said I’d like top 6. Which seeing as we only missed out on top 6 on the last day of the season last year isn’t that far fetched.DOUCHER said:

Different level? When I said that you were getting beat by the likes of Crawley and we were top half championship, so it was a different level.Big gap? Last time I mentioned the gap I said it was minimal now.Come on Douchy. Stop cherry picking bits to suit your narrative. Or I could bring up the fact that you thought we were in for a relegation fight this season after watching us once and watching some highlights of our games. Do you still stand by that? 😁 And that you will finish above us and are better than us this season?0 -

Shocking that today. We’re going down.
See you next season, as long as we don’t pass you on the way down.
Either you meant it, or you were trying to force karma in the opposite direction (like I stupidly did with the Palace relegation thread 🤦♂️)

What is constantly impressive about Millwall is their ability to perform better in the Championship than much richer clubs. Their owners have been very loyal, despite losing shedloads of dough year after year.
In an ideal world, the Millwall player I'd most like us to sign is Billy Mitchell (to replace Doherty). Not much chance of that happening, but maybe signing Byran as cover/competition for Edwards would help balance our squad.

Sickening. Really thought Southampton would do them.1

Top 6 (at least) for them and hopefully not a relegation dog fight for us.
A week is a long time in football a month even more so.
Let see what December brings1 -

That was the sort of game that lives with you forever. A totally depleted squad, a team full of youngsters, to put in a performance like that, against top quality opposition, the ground absolutely rocking, and then to get a deserved winner with almost the last kick of the game. Wow.All the years of shit have been worth it when that ball hits the back of the net in the 97th minute. Just for that one moment of unbridled joy. Unbelievable.4

12 maybe 13,000 small minded, insecure people with violent bully tendencies get a last minute winner and this bloke wants to rub our noses in it ? really? i genuinely don't get it - he doesn't post when we are doing well and / or when they are doing badly and we hold out the hand of friendship - he's pissing himself laughing that he can get away with it - it will be a few more years before we can take the piss out of them and he will then be nowhere to be seen - fuck him off now would be my advice2

Mate, we have been through this so many times, is it really that difficult for you to absorb?. You come out with this statement that I only post on here when we’re doing well, then I point out that I posted on the very night of our two 4 nil defeats to Coventry and Birmingham respectively, the night after our 3 nil defeat to boro and the day after we got done by Wrexham and the day we conceded a 97th minute equaliser to Oxford. Which proves what you’re saying is total bollocks. Yet you still come out with it 🤷♂️DOUCHER said:12 maybe 13,000 small minded, insecure people with violent bully tendencies get a last minute winner and this bloke wants to rub our noses in it ? really? i genuinely don't get it - he doesn't post when we are doing well and / or when they are doing badly and we hold out the hand of friendship - he's pissing himself laughing that he can get away with it - it will be a few more years before we can take the piss out of them and he will then be nowhere to be seen - fuck him off now would be my advice
I was also posting a lot when you lot were flying. I’ve actually commented about how well you were doing. I’ve said i think you’ll stay up comfortably (I still do). But you say I only post when you’re doing shit. It’s total bollocks to be honest and a bit repetitive.2 -
i'm not worried about how good your team are, i know they're not good enough to achieve anything, which is fine but i'm not happy about you posting about your wins on here - in fact, i don't care if u disappear for weeks when u r shit, i just don't think u should be posting on here about millwall - call me old fashioned but i just think you are here on a wind up and should be banned but that's up to AFKA - why don't u go and chat with your own lot?MillwallFan said:
