Even if you lost every away game (which you won't), you'd probably get top 6 now just by winning your home games.MillwallFan said:
Mate, I joke about 96, but if that season taught me anything, it’s that you don’t take anything for granted.Chris_from_Sidcup said:
To be honest, i'm more concerned at you making the automatics! There's no way you drop out of the top 6 now.MillwallFan said:

Ta.
we’re not as lucky as you lot in the play offs. Of the 8 we’ve competed in we have only won 2 of them.Still, it’ll be nice to be in the mix at the end of the season. You’ve got to be in it to win it as they say. That is of course if we can even stay in the top 6.I’m still waiting for the post Christmas, 1996 style crash that the Temu Mystic Meg Doucher predicted a couple of months ago. We’ve only lost one game in the league since Christmas and that was away to Coventry, were we should’ve really got something. Oh well, it’s only February, it could still happen. I don’t think we’ll be going down though à la 96 😁
Pompey, Birmingham, Derby, Blackburn, Norwich, QPR, Oxford.
Obviously different teams fighting for different things but that's not really a fixture list to worry about.0 -

I don't mind them winning three of those home games - Pompey, Blackburn and Oxford.2 -
Yes. You’re probably right, but I reckon most of us would’ve probably put our mortgage on Coventry finishing top 2 just a month or so ago and that’s now looking decidedly iffy. You just never know mate.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

I honestly think there’s as much chance of you lot going down as there is of us missing out on top 6. It could happen, buts highly unlikely. But don’t take anything for granted 😉bobmunro said:Chris_from_Sidcup said:

"Millwall have been fined £45,000 by the Football Association for abusive chanting which included a reference to disability during their Carabao Cup tie with Crystal Palace."
For those wondering what the chant was, it was "South London spastics".0 -
They will be getting another fine then, as they were singing that when we played them at the rusty toolbox.Chris_from_Sidcup said:"Millwall have been fined £45,000 by the Football Association for abusive chanting which included a reference to disability during their Carabao Cup tie with Crystal Palace."

Palarse fans will probably take being recognised as south London anything as a win.13

They are on thin ice but will the FA have the bollocks to follow it through if/When it happens again

We all know it'll happen again (if not to Palace, but to us) unless something is done (which I don't trust their club to do sadly). Lets try keep this thread about the football and have banter about that rather than the fan culture- we can always make new threads about these matter.0 -

All this talk of Millwall getting promotion … dont the pwoper ‘wall, you know the old lot /the real Millwall, NEVER want to be in the premier league ? The way they are all wetting their pants about being 3rd suggests otherwise ?0

Imagine that Chelsea supporter's trust (that complained about their visit to Charlton), going to Millwall0 -
A small minority of our fans have that mentality. A few of the older lot as you say. But it is a very few. The vast majority of our fans want us to win every game.Ducktapeshoerepairs said:All this talk of Millwall getting promotion … dont the pwoper ‘wall, you know the old lot /the real Millwall, NEVER want to be in the premier league ? The way they are all wetting their pants about being 3rd suggests otherwise ?Quite a few say they would like just a season or two up there but don’t want to stay too long through fear of being sanitised like the likes of Chelsea and West Ham. And like certain other clubs who totally lost their identity and had local armchair Arsenal and Man U fans buying season tickets at their ground just so they could watch cheap live PL football.0
