I just ran five simulations on wc2026.app (best simulator I’ve found, including all the restrictions) and got the following results…

    1st sim:
England, Qatar (in LA), Ecuador (in LA), Ghana (in Seattle)

    2nd sim:
England, Qatar (in Kansas City), Senegal (in Dallas), Haiti (in Kansas City)

    3rd sim:
England, Morocco (in Boston), Iraq/Bolivia/Suriname (in Boston), Scotland (in Miami)

    4th sim:
England, Egypt (in Kansas City), Switzerland (in Dallas), Iraq/Bolivia/Suriname (in Kansas City)

    5th sim:
England, Uruguay (in Toronto), Jordan (in Boston), Algeria (in New York / Jersey)

@SE7toSG3 will be happy if England play any games in Kansas City.

Trump is saying he might take matches away from sone cities as they aren't safe. Coincidentally all in Democrat areas.
Something else that is probably not within his remit, but he'll open his mouth about it anyway...

Can we not make this thread about him.

What might be worse is Rio Ferdinand is heavily involved in tomorrows draw

Will he be saying wow every couple of minute like he did when commentating?

Honestly, think this will be the worst tournament ever. Purely down to the prices and having 48 teams in the World Cup.

I have already booked up cancelable flights/hotel for the final, before ticket prices were leaked/announced. Prices are unjustifiable. Probably looking at around £2.5k for a ticket. Probably get a 10 year season ticket at Charlton for that amount. Hoping to go and see a least one match, but would like to see a competitive match, rather than a 6-1 v Panama or 6-2 v Iran. No chance we will get that until at least the L16 or QF, when ticket prices become ridiculous again.

Not even looking forward to watching the matches on TV either as will be just too many mismatches until Knockout stage.

Have to wait and see for the draw, but thinking about sitting this one out and waiting for Euro 28.

I think the key to picking the TV games to watch will be those between pots 2 and 3, which shouldn't be too wildly mismatched but will have lots of games that don't feature European sides. Also there's the potential comedy value that some of the European playoff winners will be as good as the pot 2 or 3 sides but will be in the 4th slot and could ruin someone's path to the knockout stages.

The England group games don't look like they're going to be very exciting, unless they're spectacularly unlucky with the draw.

Weird they've included Rio, but not Mexico.

It would only make some sense having him there if it was staged in Brazil.

Gretzky has been brown nosing Trump recently (much to the chagrin of many of his countrymen), maybe that's why he got the nod?

Let’s be honest, they’re all arse licking bore fests anyway, no matter where they’re held.

Just fast forward to picking the teams out.

Maybe the Mexican representative couldn't get a visa to get into the US?

Not true in the slightest. Republican run cities have just as many problems as Democrat run cities.

Crime tends to happen and be reported more frequently in high population density areas.

This was intended as a joke, but apparently most of the Iranian delegation due to attend the draw were refused visas. From the BBC report, it sounds like the US have made an exemption from general visa bans for the tournament, but it only applies to players and coaches, not to fans or, apparently, to football association dignitaries.

In relation to the Mexican representation, I can only imagine that the individual who booked these special guests misheard sombrero for Tom Brady.

The draw on Friday is taking place in Washington DC....An interesting location considering its not a host city for the tournament and it doesn't exactly scream 'razzmatazz'.

But then it comes out that FIFA plan to present their very first 'FIFA Peace Prize' at the event.

Now I wonder which resident of Washington DC might be lined up to receive that in return for his involvement with the draw.....?

As much as I would like to watch the Trump/Infantino show, I think I will use my time wisely tomorrow and catch up on Tom Daley's knitting programme.

My girlfriend is from about an hour outside of KC and brought up going to a game there instead of Seattle or LA. Would be interesting if England were drawn there. Sort of hope it's Jamaica or Ireland, go and support Charlton players (hopefully) without the fanfare that an England would bring.

They've not included Gretzky as a Canadian. They've included him as a hockey player. The four assistants represent the four major league sports in the US (NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL)

They were always going to try and sneak their own sports into the limelight. Shithouses.
