Did I say something funny? Very odd.Sword65pf said:Going to be a tough evening all around tonight , I’m sure the fans, players and club will show everyone what a great club we are with the respect that will be shown for Norman, hopefully the emotion is turned into a positive and gives the players that extra energy, c’mon boys do it for Headphones Norm!!!0 -
Given the shambles the defense is in, then Charlton 0 Middlesborough 2. They are not prolific scorers.
In the 18mins of the Portsmouth game they looked to be on the verge of scoring, we were just not in it.1 -
Concerned that we looked woefully off the pace in the 13 minutes played on Saturday whereas Portsmouth moved the ball quickly and threatened coming forward, particularly down our left ... again. Boro will be a tougher proposition so it's hard to come into the game with much optimism. That said, it's a bad run that has to end at some point and we proved in the first dozen matches we have what it takes at this level. We just need to rediscover that mojo.2

Feel like this game is a game too difficult for us,
But I just want to see the lads put in a shift tonight and leave everything out there. All I expect tonight.13 -
Kaminski
Ramsay Jones Gillesphey Bree
Coventry Anderson
Hernandez Carey Campbell
Olaofe
Back 4, Double pivot, able to go 5 ATB without wasting subs if it's not working, keeps Carey in his better position and hopefully protects Gillesphey and stops Ramsay being on the wrong side.
Mannion, Roussillon, Rankin-Costello, Fullah, Docherty, Berry, Knibbs, Apter, Leaburn2 -
I genuinely do not care what the result tonight is, I am going to pay my respects to Norm and that is that. If the players’ tribute to Norm is a result, I hope he is able to look down with a smile.3

If you just look at the stats to give us some glimmer of hope is that they haven't kept a clean sheet since 22nd October (9 games), so would indicate they could be got at. Before their last 1-4 thrashing of Hull they hadn't won away for 3 games against what I would say mid/lower half teams like Oxford, Leicester and Watford.
I'm going to predict a narrow 1-2, I think we could be in the game and they grab a late winner.
Obviously love a victory and also would be happy with 1-1, but I think they might have a bit too much for us.0 -

This is a game to be played with the heart!blackpool72 said:It's going to be strange atmosphere after the events last Saturday, but as you say FA the show must go on.
On paper at least this should be a straightforward win for Middlesbrough but nothing is a given in this league as recent results have shown.
Head says 2 1 Middlesbrough
Heart says 1.1.0 -
Four days down the line, extra training sessions, maybe Roussillon starts?0

You can pay due respects to Norm and still care about the result. I do. And I'm sure Norm would want us to as well.Pavoren007 said:I genuinely do not care what the result tonight is, I am going to pay my respects to Norm and that is that. To be honest I don’t recall us being as terrible for the 13mins as people are saying on Saturday, that may be due to circumstances, were we really that bad?is it being said off of the back of recent defeats?. Think we will see a lot of heart tonight and expect it.4

Hope he can put a decent shift in at least, ideally maybe Bell can do 60/70mins and then bring JR onLargeAddick said:Four days down the line, extra training sessions, maybe Roussillon starts?1 -
The Harriott year aside we really do struggle against this lot who now seem on a roll. Lucky to get a point I would think, 1-0 to Boro.0

Not feeling optimistic about tonight. I remember a similar game, when we paid tribute to PC Keith Palmer, then went down to a limp defeat to MK Dons.3
-
Indeed. I think too many people expect too much from players too often, probably at every club. That MK Dons game was a classic example. A realistic hope is probably that they play to their best abilities in every game, regardless of circumstances.killerandflash said:Not feeling optimistic about tonight.
